McDonald's — Restaurant in Alaska

This particular location used to be the best, and I'm not sure what happened. Slow service with no communication and if they forget something, you CANNOT ask for it. They will point to their "no abuse" sign (which I agree with and have suggested many times to multiple places), because to them, abuse is asking for the stuff you paid for that they forgot. Three separate times I've had to go back because they have forgotten parts of my order. Having been in their shoes, I do my best to start with a smile and an apology for me (the customer) not double checking. I have been told twice that my behavior is suspicious and that I got what I paid for. Once I was called a liar, had someone correct that employee, and still got the wrong food handed to me (which then had to be thrown away because it pushed it). There are other places, but they are all turning into a miserable place to go to and spend money. The ones on either side of this location (the next nearest two)...

The only reason they got 1 star was because I couldn't give them zero stars or negative stars. This McDonalds has consistently been the worst McDonalds to go to in Anchorage. I have never received worse service anywhere in my entire life. First as I go through the drive thru, the lady is rushing me, because my passenger doesn't know what she wants yet. Secondly, they don't give me syrup for my big breakfast, thirdly they don't give me the coffee that comes with the meal. Last but not least of all, once I realized that I was missing things I pulled around to the front immediately after the drive thru and attempted to call, not only did they not answer the phone after 17 attempts, but they actually picked up then hung up on me without speaking to me. I had the best drive-thru experience of my life at this McDonald’s. Whoever the drive thru staff on 2024-04-28, at 6-7pm, was incredibly kind and professional—genuinely a cut above the rest. As soon as I pulled up, I was greeted with a cheerful voice. My order was taken with precision and confirmed clearly, and the team moved with impressive efficiency. At the pickup window, I was again met with a smile and a courteous attitude. Everything was hot, fresh, and exactly as I asked, and it was an entire family order. It’s RARE to come across a fast food team that operates with this level service.
