Since we lost our receipt we ensured ahead of time that we called the store prior to driving there to ask if we could still get balloons we purchased from there blown up. The person over the phone told us we could. When we got there the manager told us we had to purchase more balloons for them to blow them up. 1. Ok fine because we did not have receipt but why tell us over the phone you could. 2. When I finally decided just to purchase more balloons from them to blow up fir us they were out of all the colors we needed. Why tell me to purchase another set of balloons if you are out of a lot of colors anyway. I left highly disappointed because I have been given wrong information and then you all do not even know the supplies you have or out of apparently. When I got home I realized that before when I have purchased items and did not have a receipt the store was able to retrieve my receipt from my number so I called them to see if they could pull up my receipt using my number but I wanted to make sure before going back out there. They told me they could not do it over the phone. The manager was really nice nasty and not trying to be helpful at all. The employees apparently did not have correct information and they are apparently not up to date on supplies in the store. I ended going to dollar tree and Publix to get what I needed and they were helpful and patient. If you need balloons blown up I would suggest Dollar tree or Publix cause Michaelās may not be the best...

Didn't bother checking any of sections in the store. Grabbed what I wanted from the Halloween items and headed out. Cashier was super friendly and patient.
Original review: It's a craft store, in Albany, so it's a decent store but junky. Not DG junky, except for the clearance aisle that looks like a yard sale threw up. But it's not very neat. Halloween selection this year was junk and even before Halloween got here, it was tossed on a rack in the middle of an aisle, where it was hard to touch anything without causing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like Michaels over all. However, though the staff isn't quite rude, they are definitely not that helpful. I was looking for a ring band or a base ring in order to make a ring, I now know that was incorrect terminology they are called ring blanks. I was told by 2 salespersons that they had no such thing for which neither bothered to even look in the jewelry making aisle. How does a craft store not sell an item for jewelry making? So I looked at Michaels online& sure enough they do sell them. I then found them in the store. I do give the cashier a thumbs up for assisting me to apply my 50% off...
