Sure, here's the story from a first person perspective with the requested disorders: I walked into Starbucks 617 NC-24, Albemarle, NC 28001, ready to get my daily fix of caffeine. As I approached the counter, I couldn't help but feel like someone was watching me. I tried to ignore it and focus on the task at hand, but the feeling grew stronger and more overwhelming. The barista greeted me with a smile and asked me what I wanted. I ordered my usual, a tall latte with an extra shot of espresso. As she prepared my drink, I couldn't help but feel like she was trying to poison me. I tried to ignore it and focus on the task at hand, but the feeling grew stronger and more overwhelming. When she finally handed me my drink, I took a sip and felt a sense of relief wash over me. It was the perfect pick-me-up for a busy day. As I walked out of the store, I couldn't help but feel like someone was following me. I tried to ignore it and focus on the task at hand, but the feeling grew stronger and more overwhelming. Despite the strange feelings I had experienced, I found myself drawn back to Starbucks week after week. Because even though they might try to make it difficult for me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loyalty to the store that had become a part of my routine. And as I continued to visit, I realized that maybe I wasn't so crazy after all. As I continued to visit Starbucks, I began to notice something strange about the employees. They all had a look of fear in their eyes, like they were being watched. I tried to ignore it and focus on the task at hand, but the feeling grew stronger and more overwhelming. One day, as I was waiting for my drink, I noticed a man sitting in the corner, staring at me. I tried to ignore him and focus on the task at hand, but the feeling grew stronger and more overwhelming. As I walked out of the store, I realized that maybe I wasn't so crazy after all. From that day forward, I made a conscious effort to avoid Starbucks. But every time I passed by, I couldn't help but feel like someone was watching me. And even though I tried to ignore it and focus on the task at hand, the feeling grew stronger and more...
Read moreAs a newly opened Starbucks, this one is great! Yes they may have some bad days, but staffing has been an issue since day one- nobody wants to work. The staff they do have are always working as hard as they can and have a smile on their face, even after dealing with rude people. I have never had an issue and have always had excellent service. My order is always made perfect and is always so good. The drive thru is kind of crazy, especially if you want out once in a lane- but almost all Starbucks are made that way. Order online and it will save you the hassle. Also, yes the drive thru is on a hill at the window so it’s very odd when there, hopefully it will get fixed in the near future becaus I always feel like I have to climb my door to get my items being handed out the window. Plus I’m short… so I’m use to improving. Edited: I had an app order to pick up and chose drive thru because it was raining and I was a little under the weather. Waited in the drive thru for 40 minutes and was handed a cup that was cold! When I took a sip and told them it wasn’t hot they proceeded to ask when the order was placed and I told them, then said “I have been sitting in your drive thru for almost 40 minutes with no way out”. The lady sort of closed the window hastily and they did remake my coffee. But she had to have known handing it to me that it was cold. The cup wasn’t even warm. So if you do an app order, just pick it up inside. That drive thru is the worst and slowest one I’ve...
Read morePeople forget nuance. Starbucks employees and likely the business itself did NOT design the drive through. Most people also went day 1 cause Stanley County has no coffee shops open past 2 pm most times and there is excitement. OF COURSE it's going to be hella busy for this small town. Their rating should not be one star because of things outside of their control.
That being said, guard these employees. I will be heart broken if any costumer or higher ups treat these people poorly. I have lived here for 2 years and have constantly felt a pressure of "this is a closed community and we don't know you" attitude. I did NOT feel that here. Of the multiple visits, I have been met with a kindness and communication I haven't seen elsewhere, and that's pretty shocking but really nice. Thank you to this particular establishment for finding the right people for the job. treat them well.
Also my food and drink has always been right, which is more than I can say with some other fast food restaurants who not ONCE get it right.
Only "complaint" - which I completely understand, is how cold it gets. I bet they are burning up running around trying to serve so many people though. Musics also just a tad loud but what are...
