UPDATE: I came in today, and like a few other times, the price of my meal exceeded my patience to remind employees how to make the sandwich/do their job that they should know how to do.
Two sandwiches should not have required I repeat myself five times on one sandwich and three times on the second. I don't understand how a "fast food" restaurant can prioritize "mobile orders" when I'm standing right there, and was before the mobile order came in. I WATCHED the receipt get printed, and someone stepped in and made a sandwich with 10 pieces of bacon (wish I was kidding), loads of meat, lots of mayo...and it took three minutes (not that I was counting or anything). Then, it came to my sandwiches, and...I had to repeat NO MAYO twice, OREGANO twice and BACON on the sandwich (it came with it). Then on the second sandwich, I had to remind her that I wanted onions, three times, and still never got them on the sandwich. Not only do I have zero patience for people in the service industry giving me an attitude when I'm trying to be helpful, and patient myself, but the huffy attitude for not listening, and then getting further attitude when I spend 20 minutes in a "fast food restaurant" that wasn't busy until I arrived (because I was forced to wait) makes me think I'm never returning here. I've never had a "good" experience here in the five times I've been the one to pay, and today was my last opportunity to them. Between all that and the disrespect I received for NOT giving a tip, when I didn't get what I was already overpaying for...just...no, thank you.
"SAYING" you appreciate my feedback and not changing anything...is super unprofessional. And the fact that people are being trained to put two pieces of bacon on MY sandwich for $1.75, while a whole STACK of bacon goes on a mobile order for the same price, makes me feel cheated. $30 for two sandwiches is highway robbery.
Good luck Mike's...you're going to need it if you keep this up with your future customers. How's that for feedback?
ORIGINAL: Friendly staff, decent food, relatively short wait times, and wrong sandwiches?
I've been here four times now, and two of those times I've been given the wrong sandwich, and I've been super careful about watching them make it. But they set it down, and hand me someone else's.
Maybe, just maybe, they should try focusing on one thing at a time, instead of having four people touch my food before I get it. That would be awesome. 1) bread & meat 2) toppings 3) wrapping 4) checkout That's just...too many hands for my taste. No pun intended.
I really like getting the sandwich I ordered, and when I do, it's fantastic food. Highly recommend you pay...
Read moreWorst service I have ever received at a Jersey Mike's. I have been to several locations around the country. The store was closing in 20 minutes and we were on a cross-country road trip, still 3 hours from our destination for the night. To be considerate, we made an online order rather than walking in so close to closing, and then ordering. Apparently, everybody in town decided to come in right before closing. We came in when our order should have been ready in 10 minutes, used the restroom, and then stood by the pick up order shelf. While we were in the restroom, a very long line of people formed. The young lady ignored our online order hanging up and proceeded to make the entire line's orders before touching ours. They had all arrived after our order was placed. If I had not already paid, I would have left rather than waiting. The young lady was very kind, helpful, and pleasant to all of the people in line, bending over backwards for every request. While ignoring us completely. I had 3 young children with me, so it's not like I wasn't noticeable. After everybody left, I confronted her about it. She said she is supposed to prioritize the customers in line ahead of online orders, even though I was waiting in the store, and apologized profusely. I had then waited 35 minutes past the time my order was supposed to be ready for it to even be started. I have online ordered at lots of Jersey Mike's and never had this issue. I should have just ordered in person, according to their way of doing business, rather than using the online ordering option. My husband told me to stop being polite, and ask why my food wasn't ready next time. Live and...
Read moreThis evening, I stopped in for an online pickup order. When I arrived, my sandwich was not yet in the pickup area. I didn't mind, as they were very busy with a long line. Not to long after, a young gentleman called over to me from the grill area, asking if I had an online order, to which I replied that I did. He said they would be right with me, and I let him know there were no worries. As soon as he was done with the grilled sandwiches he was working on, he came over to where the online order tickets were, asked my name, and said they would get it started right away, which they did. While building my sandwich, he confirmed the toppings I had requested. He then invited me to a drink, cookie or chips. I declined, but did take a cup for ice water. Once finished, he walked it over to me, and thanked me. I do not live in Albert Lea where this store is located, but make the 15-20 minute drive when I want a great sub. Tonight was my best experience by far! ZACHARY is a huge asset to Jersey Mike's! His customer service is supreme! If he is not a manager, he should be! Good, dedicated and caring employees are very rare to find these days, don't let this one go anywhere! Take care of and pay him enough to keep him around! #13 on rosemary parmesan, Mike's...
