Probably my best experience ever. From Gavin hustling hard as hosting and bussing to Alex our server. The food was on point. The whole staff was hustling and really working as a team. Every restaurant in Albuquerque should take notes from here.
This is an update from tonight’s experience: we got there at 7 and initially was a 10 minute wait, they came back to say the kitchen was very backed up and extended the wait. I’ve worked in restaurants and understand so we continued to wait. We finally get sat at 8. My problem was where we were sat we ended up in perfect earshot of what the staff was saying. While one lady with short hair just stared at us and started talking to the other lady about who was going to take our table, no one had come. The two ladies took the two tables sat after us (also right next to us), we got Aiden, while he was good (considering he was new) I was annoyed at the veteran servers, I watched as the two tables got drinks and apps while we still had nothing. I asked for a manager and Barry came to talk with us. He was shocked at the other two servers attitude towards us and explained how Aiden was still very new to serving. (Again he did fine). Barry took it upon himself to try and rectify our experience. Aiden was very professional and personable. I noticed how all his other tables were far from where we were, leading me to believe that we were not supposed to be his table to begin with which angered me more at the other two servers. How dare they let this new person struggle instead of helping him. The 5 stars from my previous review are now 3 stars, what I saw tonight was not a team but two rude servers who seemed to have it out against the new guy and our table for whatever reason! While I would like to say we won’t be back, this is my son’s favorite restaurant and we go once a week. I will say that if I see either of those two again, I will make sure to take upon myself to ask for...
Read moreUsually I love go to Chili's and I go to all the different locations. I haven't been to this one in quite a while and just went for just a beer and some chips and salsa. Ask for some ranch on the side and I get charged like $0. 79 for it (?). Now it's not that I'm super cheap but I kind of am LOL. but for the fact that I don't like to be nickel-and-dimed for things and none of the other chilis have ever charged me for a side of ranch, this was a bit annoying especially when the chips already free with my rewards. The bartender was super nice and older like me, so I'm sure she's one of those that follow the rules that the managers Focus so much on food cost that they yell to staff to charge for every little thing. I've been in restaurants over 20 years and I have been a GM over 10. I have never told my staff to do these kind of behaviors as I feel it's not appropriate. people want extra dressings and salsa and things to enjoy their meal they should have to pay for it. As we all know chilis Ranch is super delicious so maybe just fix the extra sides that are requested into your cost of your product and people won't notice. But most customers don't like to get charged for condiments to enjoy their meal. I attribute the comparison to charging for mayonnaise if you want it with your...
Read moreI have never before had to send a meal back TWICE for being cold. Tonight that changed; three of us went to Chili's to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday. After ordering we waited around 50 minutes until our food came, a little slow but I'll live with that. All three of our meals were cold so we sent them back and were promised they would replace them and put us #1 on the list. About 20 minutes later my wife & daughter's food arrived and mine about five minutes after that. The first two had the wrong dressing, and mine was cold again! I have no idea how you send a cold meal back and get it back cold! We said we were leaving, and the manager came out to see us saying that we wouldn't have to pay! That was really good news seeing as all I had eaten was three (cold) fries and a small piece of celery. He asked how he could make it right, I told him he could pay for our McDonald's that we were going to get. He gave us $30 in gift cards and said he hoped we would come back. Sadly this wasn't the first time it had happened, but I was prepared to give the place the benefit of the doubt but this time was just ridiculous. All in all we were at this restaurant for an hour and forty-five minutes and left hungry and disappointed that a family birthday celebration had gone so sour....
