On December 8 Church’s Chicken was presented a coupon for a free chicken sandwich when you purchase a chicken fried steak platter (keyword "platter"). When I went to pay the cashier she had charged me $4.99 for the chicken fried steak. [Store #707/Ticket #148068] Bear in mind, the sign outside the restaurant advertised the chicken fried steak platter for $3.69. Inside the restaurant I noticed the chicken fried steak combo with drink was $4.99. When I pointed to the coupon and told Monica I did not want the drink she quickly snapped, "It comes with it." Ahhhhh. The old bait and switch. Really? I know what you’re thinking, but I had just left my work after a long 10 hour day with no break and I was in no mood to argue. Sometimes you just want to accomplish tasks without a fight. Know what I mean? All I wanted at that moment was to obtain food and a prescribed price. I handed her the coupon which clearly states “chicken fried steak platter.” My neighbor Tim gave me his coupons so I had two and interestingly, I had just ordered using this same coupon on December 7 and the drink was optional. The cashier on that ticket was “Indica,” and thank you Indica for following your company’s policies. [Store #707/Ticket #147755] But not according to Monica. Monica decided at a special meeting the night before that she would change the “platter” requirement on all coupons to a “combo” requirement. (Just kidding, there was no special meeting.) I’ve seen Monica in that store for at least 9 months so I’m not buying the claim she is uninformed or untrained. No, to the contrary. Monica thinks she’s being a good salesperson by lying to customers to upsell. Monica believes, however shortsighted, you gain by screwing your customers. Monica is either too nasty or too lazy to take the drink off the order. Maybe she’s both nasty and lazy. I got a little of both from her during my visit. Either way it was not good customer service. In 2013, can a business really afford to tell their customers to take it or leave it? OK, at that moment I took it, because I had no energy for anything else. But two days later, I’m able to compose this review. At Church’s Chicken their employees should follow their own rules (written on the coupon itself) and provide the same offers to everyone all of the time. It shouldn't be a crap shoot wondering which cashier is going to be nice and which is going...
Read moreI don't usually write any review unless something is really good or really bad, so here goes. The young man taking the order kept getting confused, he obviously was a new employee, but was really nice and did try. The chicken is usually always great here, the place is usually clean as well. But, yes here is the "but", the reason for 2 stars is I have never been here and not have had to wait 15 minutes or longer for white meat. This visit at 7pm, still around dinner time, took just shy of 30 minutes for white meat and apple pies; yes I had to wait for a couple pies too. They did give me a free apple pie for the long wait ...yippee what a score...lol. There was one person, a young black male (no racial slure at all intended, I am just not positive of his name and he is getting a comliment here), I think his name was Keshawn(sp)? He continually gave me updates on how much longer it was going to take for the chicken and then the two apple pies, he was also the only one apologetic for my wait. BTW, not once did the female manager make one comment about the wait. Now granted, I would want fairly fresh chicken, not some dried up pieces basking under heat lamps for 2 or 3 hours, but 30 minutes...really? So forecasting sales I would have to say is the managers bad. She was the only person instructing the cooks what, when, and how many chicken pieces to drop in the fryers. I will definitely return to this Churches Chicken because one, it's the closest one in my area and like I said, the chicken is great. The wings in particular, my favorites, have a large portions of white meat, unlike KFC's wings which are the size of a small pigeon. I'll repost if I return to readily available white meat, which they would then be deserving of...
Read moreCame to the drive through this evening and arrived home to feed my family of 5 and found half our order was missing.. I called the location right away and they confirmed my order yet argued with me about letting me come back for the rest of the food I had paid over 40.00 for. Finally the manager admitted to making the mistake as they found my order laying around on the counter. Monica the night manager told me I could come pick up the order only if I could verify my order with a receipt even though I just verified my order completely by phone which she found in her POS. When I arrived to pick up the rest of my meal Monica left me waiting at the front counter while she gave me dirty looks for 10 minutes after she handed me the food that was missing from my order I asked about the bombers that we're still not in the bag she said she could not give me any bombers because they cost money and that she would give me a mashed potato instead. Never once did she ask me for the receipt that she so insisted I bring. So after having this horrible experience and having to return to the store for the rest of my order and still Monica denied giving me my complete order that I had paid for I am not a happy customer I would recommend no one ever go to this location it is horrible there is no customer service and by the way the mashed...
