Denny's — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Well, I have to share it…..

I was driving the whole night, Got very tired by the morning , had only 45 minutes left of my logbook. Decided to stop at Albuquerque New Mexico pilot truck stop. After I parked my truck I Wanted get some comfort food before going to bed. Came in early in the morning ,?it was still dark outside. While I was talking on the phone with my friend from Ukraine( all my family is there too) , I ordered my food , which was super delicious by the way and the service was very quick. All people beginning from the reception desk to the waitresses were very nice And attentive. Even though , with me being On the phone ,fully consumed by the conversation ( due to the war in Ukraine) , I’ve been served very quickly. I got up And went to pay for my food while still being on the phone trying to pay( sorry about that ) , I totally forgot that before I started to eat I took my mouthguard and folded It into the napkin and put it next to my plate on the table. Well , that mouthguard I got after I had surgery in Europe and I had to wear it for half a year before getting another final surgery and it was very important NOT to lose it🤦🏻‍♂️…. Otherwise, all that important surgery would be in vain or I would have to fly back to Europe and spend some time for making another mouthguard. Well……. I only realized that I forgot it 😱on the table folded in the napkin after I got all the way to my truck across the whole parking lot and spend some time on my paperwork at the end of the day. ( night in my case). I quickly ran back to Denny’s . Of course my table was clean by that time. As soon as I was able to communicate my situation with the waitress that was serving me , she right away asked for help from they the guys at the galley ( I guess they were in charge of taking the trash out) Everybody was involved including that very nice and sweet dark haired older lady that was not there When I had my food, but she appeared there to help and look everywhere to locate what I lost . They thought that the mouthguard had been already thrown into the main trash container . So that lady and I believe the supervisor as well and the guys from the galley met me at the back of the store , they were looking through the trash to help me to find what I lost . I felt so stupid and so sorry . I started to calculate in my mind how much would it cost me to take some time off from work yet again and fly back to Europe and get new mouthguard made.

While we were busy with the trash ,that dark hair lady went back inside and came out later with my mouth guard folded in the napkin they found it inside when they looked through for it one more time.

Well , I don’t think that I can describe what I felt that moment, I mean I probably can but it would be another chapter of this “suspense” 🤓. What I can say for sure , to all the staff and that sweet dark haired lady ( I even forgot to ask her name 🤦🏻‍♂️) Thank you so much !!! making such a big difference in my situation !!!you saved me so much trouble just being very nice , attentive people and doing your job and going above and beyond for me. ❤️❤️❤️🤝🤝🤝💐 Love you...

Dont order online. I ordered online to pick up food using postmates shortly after ordering I was notified that my food was ready to be picked up when I got to the location I spent 20 minutes waiting to speak to someone so I could pick up my order no one ever came out I wasnt the only one waiting there was another man waiting for his order as well this location is in the Flying J’s shopping center and after waiting a while longer and hearing some noise coming from the kitchen I asked one of the security guards to call the worker in the back because maybe they had alot of orders to complete and couldnt hear us calling out for someone. Thats when the security guard told me and the other man that there wasnt anyone in the back just the dishwasher and there was no one in to make the orders the dishwasher doesnt know how to cook and complete the orders is what he said so I decided to leave and try to cancel my order when I went back to cancel my order the site said I had picked up my order when I didnt so when I cancelled the order it said I was still going to be charged the money for the food that was never even made. I didnt have a postmates account to begin with so to file a complaint and see if I can get a refund I needed to make an account using the phone number I used to order the food and my order still didnt pop up on there I was still able to email a complaint and I am now waiting to hear back I wasted 45 minutes of my hour long lunch for nothing and basically lost 26.78 to nothing dont order online from here instead call ahead and make sure they are taking orders anywhere save yourself the trouble!

Albuquerque, New Mexico Are Not Tourist Friendly.

People travel for both work and leisure. Most often a tourist is interested in savoring the spices and sauces familiar to local residents and on the menus in local restaurants.

There in the menu a new taco skillet. Could this be a familiar dish many New Mexico residents enjoy?

Oh WAIT . . . . Where is the restaurant staff in Denny’s?

I don’t understand how a place with a tourist sounding name can employ an entire crew who are not familiar with customer service or tourism.

I sat in the restaurant hostess area for approximately thirty minutes and not one employee was out on the floor, greeting and taking care of the three customers in the restaurant before I arrived.

Yep, I said something and I made my point in my business oriented manner.

How you’re going to promote your new taco skillet inside your menu and every person who works in the restaurant hides in corners or in the kitchen. Tell me how is the restaurant making money if the manager is not training the associates in sales and marketing?

New Mexico, specifically Albuquerque is not tourist friendly. If I wasn’t here working, I wouldn’t visit Albuquerque, New Mexico. The people are very, very different.

Although the atmosphere and the service were lacking the expected greetings and attention to customer service, the food was tasty. My taco skillet was better than I had expected. Therefore, I rate Denny’s Restaurant inside of the Flying J Travel Center, Albuquerque, New...
