Whataburger — Restaurant in Albuquerque

I came in this evening to pick up an order for DoorDash. A girl came to give me my customer's order. I noticed right away when she handed me two drinks that looked dark that my customer's Sprite was not given to me. So I asked her if she could make one of them a Sprite. I showed her on the receipt that one of them was a Sprite. When she brought the Sprite, I asked her if I could get a drink tray because I had to carry two drinks. Well, she never came back. I yelled to the back and tried to see if anybody would come help me. I yelled, "Excuse me!" several times, but nobody ever came. So I tried to contact DoorDash to cancel the order, but I had already marked it as picked up, so I was unable to. Then the manager proceeded to come and tell me that I was not the driver to come pick it up and that they were going to be sending another driver, but DoorDash never unassigned me from the order. I was the only driver who was waiting for the order. I contacted DoorDash again and asked them if they could let them know I was the driver, but whenever DoorDash called them, they refused to answer the phone and then the manager came up to me and she's talking to me while I was talking to the man on the phone and she's like, so are you here to pick up the order? I told her I had been waiting there for 30 minutes to pick up the order. While DoorDash is telling me not to argue with them. I'm frustrated at this point I never wanna pick up another order from here. I didn't even want the current one. Just because this cashier was acting so rude because I corrected her on the sprite and took forever to get me a drink tray, and correct my customer's drink. Well, my profile picture may picture me as a joke but seriously, I'm traveling cross country with my family, nothing open since it's like 11:37 at night. We decided to stop at specifically: this 'whattaburger', McDonald's was a option but we wanted whattaburger. So we go inside to order, all happy talking as we wait and wait.. Andddd waitt.... 20 minutes later still no food?? So we're getting impatient due to having to be at our hotel at a certain time. We ask this lady, incredibly rude walking out just worried about going home apparently. My mother is getting real mad because of how long of a wait we're going through. I'm just sitting there tired as we wait. Once we FINALLY got our food my dad had to double check literally everything. I'm thinking- well at least we have everything i guess, we just had to ask for the cookie and sauce they forgot to put in there which was fine. When we get in the car we're the relieved to be back on the road. I take a bite of my frys. Well, I wasn't expecting the best but it was just worse with the fact it tasted stale and cold. Not even two Fry's in and my stomach already hurts, but I'm hungry so I'm just gonna eat the rest because it's payed for and I gotta be grateful for what I get but I'm just gonna say, the wait is horrendous, the employees were all just worrying about getting home instead of serving their own customers. I get that they get a little busy but there's plenty of them back there, most likely talking away?.. I mean at least the bathrooms were nice. Though I feel like I should've known that this place was bad just by looking at the old tea that had been sitting out all day. I'd say everyone, please listen to these reviews, and check reviews if a place doesn't feel right to you because this definitely was the worst experience I've had with...

A couple of weeks ago my husband went out for our Friday night outing. He ordered 3 hamburgers, fries and a “chocolate” shake. He ordered as the line seemed to be going quickly and then once he paid, he somehow managed to wait an hour before actually receiving our order. He debated going in to get a refund but he had a sleeping baby in the car and we didn’t want to risk waking the baby. We should have in hindsight.

He came home with 3 smooshed and cold burgers without the condiments, ice cold fries and a vanilla shake w a squirt of chocolate on the outside. We contacted management and we were advised we would be put in the books for a single comped meal.

It’s been a few weeks but it’s my birthday 8/8 and unknowingly Whataburgers founded day. I figured today would be good because their shakes have always been my go to & it would be my treat for the end of the day!

We walked into the store and requested the comped meal to see if it was still available - The two girls at the front looked confused but went to ask management. Management scanned their “complaint” binder while on the phone and walked away. After a few moments of waiting, I went back to ask what the verdict was and the young girls advised someone would be up to speak with us shortly. After waiting for awhile my baby began fussy as it was near her bedtime and we figured it would be best to leave as we didn’t want to disturb everyone else’s dinners & there was no point in making her sit through this waiting period that had no end in sight.
