Me and my partner entered the restaurant pretty late, around 12ish and weren’t greeted which I didn’t tend to mind originally but after a few minutes a woman came and sat us at a table, she only gave us one menu to share (in an empty restaurant) but that wasn’t an issue that I couldn’t get over so we just sat on the same side of the table and browsed together eventually ordering the zesty nachos, a grand slam, and the cali club sandwich. The first issue with the food was that they were out of nacho cheese and asked if we’d be okay with shredded melted on top which we agreed was okay. Then the cook asked us, still from in the kitchen, if we’d like pico de gaillo for our nachos which I said yes too. Our server then came to our table with said nacho and told us that they were also out of pico. We took the plate because the food was already made but I would’ve preferred the staff be prepared with what items where out of stock and would’ve liked to have been told upon ordering. The server ended up bringing out my cali club which had no avocado which was something they didn’t mention was out. I still proceeded to try the sandwich which had a fishy taste dispute not having any fish products. While eating a man who appeared homeless entered the restaurant and was asking for anything they could spare, and I agree they have the right to turn them away but I feel as if the staff was doing so in a disrespectful manner and then after he left they proceeded to talk about the man in a disrespectful and derogatory way which was in no way quiet enough for me and my partner not to hear which I feel is so unprofessional. After all these instances I left very disappointed and unsatisfied...
Read moreI ordered 2 full zesty Nachos to go. I even tipped the waitress $10.00. This waitress was so rude not only to me but to her co-workers as well. Almost every customer order while I was there was either missing something on their order or had been waiting an unreasonable amount of time. Not to mention there not even that many customers there. When I received my order they were half orders instead of full. There was very little meat and cheese with none of the rest of the topping. I brought it back and requested a refund because I did not have 30 more minutes to wait as I did for the first order. I have been to deny's all over the country and this is by far the worse Deny's I have ever been to. The Zesty Nachos is what I get about 90 percent of the time so I know what it should look like. The waitress that I tipped the $10 instead of making sure my order was taken care of she decided to lie even though the customers saw my order and agreed it was not right as well. I was told I could get a store credit or wait until the manager come in. Suppose that was all the money I had. It's ok to inconvenience me because the manager did not want to come to the store and refund my money, but if the manager actually had to do that then I'm sure we would have way less incidents like this. On top of that you had another employee stand there and smile in my face telling me ain't no need to argue because nothings going to change. At this point I become enrage. You took my money, did not give me what I paid for and think that is funny. I will be reaching out to the head of the franchise to find out why Deny's believes that it is ok to take customers money and not give them what...
Read moreFirst - my husband and I have been servers, so we understand that everyone & every place has an "off" day. Tonight was that day for this Denny's location.
Second - I don't know what was going on with the people working tonight. There was 1 cook, 1 dishwasher, and what seemed like 1 waiter - and 2 additional people who didnt seem to be helping anyone out.
It wasn't busy. But the waiter seemed like he was either tired or didn't feel well - or maybe he was working in an area that he was extremely unfamiliar with (ie. waiting tables) - but the guy was doing the best he could. We waited for at least 5 minutes to be seated at a time when it was not busy. Then we waited for a long time to be waited on. We didn't receive tableware and had had to ask for some napkins - which were handed to us by a woman, who promptly left - just as my husband started to ask for a fork. She never returned.
The sandwiches we got were mediocre at best, but thankfully didn't take long to receive. My husband only ate about half to 3/4 of his.
When we paid for our meal, our waiter told us that he hadn't charged us for our drinks - which (I think) was an apology of sorts(?) - and good because we only drank water.
I don't think I'm going to blame the waiter for our lousy service, though; because it seemed as if he was struggling to perform a job under lousy circumstances. 🤷♀️
At any rate, even if we were given the opportunity - we...
