I ordered to go for Christmas. My food was ready ahead of when I arrived, but it took 20+ minutes for me to get my drinks and a dessert. I went to the cashier after the 20 minutes to tell her forget the shake and ice cream, just to bring my sodas because I didn't want to eat cold food. After the hostess had told me over the last 20 mins that it was just taking time. But when I stated that he is just standing there doing nothing, she responded with No he is doing drinks. I once again reinforced that he was doing nothing just standing there. She disappeared for another few minutes that's when I heard her yelling at the employee clearly so all customers could hear her. Maybe that's one of the reasons three tables walked without paying, shouting on the way out, in the half hour I was standing there. That's when he came back with my shake, sundae, and the drinks (the order was made and the gentleman running the drink station just left and went on break).
I counted the boxes before I left to make sure I got everything I ordered.
When I got home with my cold food, but a hot salad, I was shocked. My queso appetizer was only chips, most of which were inedible. Mozzarella sticks were gross and turned back into string cheese with soggy breading . My double cheeseburger had what I guess you can call "one" hamburger patty on a double cheeseburger. It was more like 3/4 patty with a chunk broken off. The burger was put in the bag on its side so everything spilled out over the ice cold fries.
Double cheeseburger. Queso. The missing items are in the name. (double, cheese and queso)
I had no sauces or sides, meaning a salad with no dressing, a burger with no condiments a sampler plater with no sauces. including no ketchup or anything on the side for the burger or the extra sides I ordered and paid for. There was no cutlery included, so the Mediterranean chicken just went to waste.
My Christmas dinner consisted of a Dr. Pepper for me and a mango tea and shake for my husband. No straws, of course.
They didn't answer the phone last night. Fine. I'll give you that. It was slammed even though they were well-staffed. This morning, they continued to not answer until finally they took the phone off the hook!
I have relied on Denny's for many, many Christmases. I will never go back after I get a refund. This is what my husband got for trying to salvage any form of a Christmas that he could have after losing a brother 3 years ago his mother 2 years ago and his sister the day after Thanksgiving.
I will update this review after I return all of the food, uneaten, too the restaurant. If I could give you guys a negitive star you would have got 3 negitive stars for ruining my family's Christmas.
If there's a war on Christmas, y'all are the front lines. Worst $70 ever spent. I want my tip back.
Update: We returned the following day and returned the food. The manager refunded dinner without any question. I explained the situation. He said the phone hadn't rung at all that morning and figured out which employees...
Read moreI am very displeased with my experience with this restaurant.
Allow me to preface by saying that I am a truck driver who frequents Denny’s & this one is not one I’ve stopped at before. I made an exception today due to my route changes recently made & doing my best to get to my destination early.
Being that I’m a loyal Denny’s customer, I know how to order my food to receive it the way I want to have it. Additionally, I am currently pregnant. This is relevant because any woman who has been pregnant, or any man who has had a pregnant woman in his life understands food aversions.
My issues with this restaurant are that despite me explaining exactly how I wanted my order placed, the server felt she knew better than I did & did it her way. I let it go. I requested shelled eggs (not the synthetic liquid eggs they serve if you don’t request shelled), turkey bacon, spinach & breakfast potatoes.
I initially didn’t get the spinach because the server didn’t enter it despite my asking, so I had to return upon checking the bag to receive that. I glanced at the eggs & saw the white speckles that you see in real eggs so I didn’t think to check further.
When I got to my truck & began eating my eggs, I TASTE THE SYNTHETIC EGG MIXTURE! So not only did the server not listen, the cook decided to not fully honor my request on how I wanted my eggs cooked! Now, I will have to stop at my usual Denny’s & risk being late since I am pregnant & need to eat!
Oh & the woman working the bar was less than friendly when I came back for my missing spinach.
I will never visit this Denny’s again & caution anyone with special requests to...
Read moreDisappointment! I LOVE Denys! But, this was the first, and last time I will ever go to this location! I just had surgery on my knee and I still have a hard time getting in and out of car. I ordered online for a pickup order and when I arrived, not only did the staff NOT answer the phone number listed to call upon arrival the 15 times I called, but when I squabbled out of car and walk inside, a man met me with my food, handed it to me and walked off. My order was wrong all the way around and my husband didn't get some of his. I checked the order to make sure it wasn't my fault, and it was not. I tried several times to call and speak with a manager bc I wasn't able to get back out at that time. I am allergic to bananas and I asked for chocolate chip pancakes. I got chocolate chip (very few) and bananas. I couldn't eat them, as I'm allergic. Were in the process of moving and I was starving and this made it worse. My husband was missing his English muffin AND his sausage! Our food was stone cold and there weren't any utensils in the bag. Which I requested, seeing as everything is packed. I am strapped on funds right now with move and all and am very disappointed I paid this much money for cold food that i couldn't eat and nor what I ordered. On top of the rude man who walked off after handing me my food and then Noone answering the phone! I would understand a little more if it was busy,...
