Duran's Station — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Terrible waitress! Worst service I have ever had. I sat in a booth and was eating alone. She waited on all of her tables before mine, I was the first customer in the restaurant. When she finally came over, I complained and she said she was sorry that I felt that way. She took my order and that was the last time she came to my table. She had someone else deliver my food, never asked If my food was ok and never offered me a refill on my drink. Yet, she made it obvious to me that she did "serve" her other tables and was purposely ignoring me. The next time she approached my table, was dropping off my check as she was walking away. She never stopped. The next time she did stop to ask how everything was as I was getting ready to leave (Wanting a tip?). I asked her why she was asking now when she had ignored me the entire time I was there. She said she was "giving me space". I told her that if she didn't want to wait on me, she should have asked the other waitress to take my table. She was so rude! I called the manager and he apologized, but also got his back up when I said that I judge restaurants by how they treat customers who dine alone. That irritated him and he said they serve many customers who eat alone. I did not find that the case today. If I eat alone, I always tip 40%. Other employees apologized to me for her behavior. The owner responded that I didn't wait to be seated. The person who unlocked the door. Told us to choose where we wanted to sit. After that she took menus to all of her tables. Your 2 seat tables are against the window blocks and it gets very hot...

I had a very unique situation where a white truck showed up to my business The gentleman gave me a gift card for dinner for 2 For the last experience we had at durans He remembered me from durans pharmacy in Old Town I had a Hair Salon at 12:00 Rio Grande To 30 years and then I was evicted from Myspace for speaking out about the owner illegaly hooked up to the city water and sewer lines were not hooked up to the city The owner are the garcias who own car dealerships Why would steal from the city anyway I was a victim landlord abuse That wasn't so sad part of being in the spot for 30 years It was Not being near Durand's pharmacy restaurant It was like family the lady washing the dishes bussing my table making me Like family as soon as I walked in she knew my name put my Coke ask how my family doing the food is very comforting food 30 years of her and the staff knowing mr that was a sad part of leaving the Old Town area I decided to open my own studio in my own building And find out Durand's opened a new restaurant called durans station I told my wife I want to open my studio close to their it happen just around the corner I go there every Monday Now there's this virus and you have to call in and their Trying to survive just like me with virus . The wait for a table was long. An empty table was not bussed for about 15 minutes. We finally got a table but waited again for almost 10 minutes to get our order taken. Good thing we knew what we wanted to eat so we gave our drink & dinner order at the same time. We asked for chips & salsa, too. It took another 10 minutes or so to get our drinks and I had to ask for our chips & salsa a few minutes later. I tried several times to get the staffs attention but they were more concerned for others.

Staff was more concerned about filling take out orders than the people seated. Granted it was about 6pm when we first arrived and at the start of the dinner rush but come on there has got to be a system in place to ensure in-house patrons are seated timely and waited upon.

While waiting, I noticed across the room at one table, a gentleman was served his dinner while his wife & daughter waited about 10-15 minutes (or more) to get served. At the table next to ours the man sitting there was catered to promptly.

We finally got our chips and salsa and it was very good. Several minutes later we got our food. It was very tasty. The red chile sauce was very good and there was plenty of it! We had to order sopapillas separately, they didn't come with dinner.

It was getting closer to 7pm and our service improved. We had three different staff members asking us if we were alright. Others coming in were sat and promptly waited upon.

The food made up for the initial bad service. And...
