Where should I start,..well we were seated and inquired about how large the pizza's were and we came to the conclusion that the small table they sat us at was not going to hold two large pizzas, salad and a order of calamari as our waiter agreed, so we requested to be put at one the many open tables for more space or to even just put two smaller tables together in order to accommodate our order, apparently the management said NO but said to put the pizza's onto a separate table next to us which we did but then this caused us have to get up every time just for a slice of pizza and walk to the table like it was a buffet with other people walking and being seated around our uncovered pizza which was made incorrectly and so they had to remake it. We ask for extra ranch for our salad because the ratio of ranch to salad is off compared to the size of the salad. Then we asked for more ranch for the pizza so by this time my party and I are technically at 3 extra ranch sides, I know nothing is free but to not tell us that each additional ranch is 2.99ea until we were already 3 deep and then slide in a comment of "oh each side of ranch is 2.99ea btw is kinda strange but okay, but then trying to charge us for the initial ranch that came with the salad was odd too. Then my wife put our leftover salad onto the same table as the pizzas and requested to the waitress not to throw the salad away . What happens? They threw our salad away smh, so the waitress has messed up a few times already, but now we are feeling some tension and attitude from her as if we did something wrong. I'm not sure what the deal is with this establishment, but I'll never return here again. As we were paying the bill there was a few employees staring at us and once I signed the receipt the cashier handed it to our waiter to show her if we tipped her and she saw it and got mad and went toward the back an told others and now we are getting the old"mad dog stare from employees As we exit. It's not my fault your service and team can't get it together. What sucks is they actually have decent pizza, but they've ruined the experience 😕

I ordered a pizza and side for carry out. I got the pizza, went home, put it on my stove, opened it, and a cockroach was running across the pizza. I went to grab my phone for a video and as I came back the cockroach ran out of the pizza box and went down into my oven. I called Mario’s and they were rude about it and refused to give me a refund, even after telling them I still had all of the food untouched and would return it. Their reason was that they open the box and show me the pizza before carrying it out of the location. First, the cashier flashed the lid up and down without even turning the box towards me or looking at it herself, so how am I supposed to see if there’s a cockroach running around in the box? Second, if your excuse for not offering a refund or at the very least apologizing is because the cashier flashes the box open for a second, maybe that’s why they do it and some actual accountability is needed here. From being in food service myself, the lack of shock and reaction from the staff is telling enough. I’m calling the city of Albuquerque on Monday to discuss this with the health department and recommend a visit from an inspector. To have a fully grown cockroach crawling around my pizza and enter my home is disgusting. To be rude and deny this even being a possibility when I call and inform them about it is another level of unacceptable. To refuse a refund even though all of the food is untouched and I called within an hour of pick up is why I am creating this review. I could easily call my bank and ask for a chargeback because of this, but I haven’t. It’s not about the $40 at this point. I hope being rude and refusing to refund $40 was worth the review and continued outreach I’ll be doing to the city health department and also telling the people of Albuquerque to never ever visit Mario’s pizza. My visit was 03/04/25.

We came here to try the pizza because we heard it was good. We ordered the jalapeño toasted ravioli, small Caesar salad, and a Greek pizza. Toasted ravioli was served hot and it was good. Salads were small house salads and we could have shared one. We ordered a 15" Greek pizza and it was too big for two!! Very salty probably because of the olives and feta. The crust had a gumline but it was tasty!! We also ordered a small spumoni gelato since it is homemade. It was spot on, flavors dancing in the mouth and I'm not really a fan of gelato!! Have to go back to try the beef green chili pizza!! The menu is quite large so plenty to choose from. Servers were pleasant and it was clean!!

My family and I came for an early dinner tonight and left very disappointed. We ordered a large pizza and my wife ordered a separate pizza without cheese. Our server brought out our food and admitted that he messed up the order and that cheese was on the pizza. He apologized, admitted fault and went to get it fixed. Good man, mistakes happen thank you for admitting fault. What happened next is beyond me. In this situation you would expect a manager to come out and help to fix the problem. After a short time our server delivers food to another table, drinks to another all the while we see the manager surrounded by young girls flirting with him, kitchen staff joking with him. Our server has at least 4 tables with zero help from the rest of the staff. After a tray of drinks comes crashing on the floor you would think someone would come help him. Eventually the server comes back with the replacement pizza. Wrong again. The rest of us have finished dinner. My wife has to get up and bring it to the manager. She gets an "I'm sorry". She tells him to cancel it. That is all. Our server apologizes and tries very hard to make it up to us, we tell him that his manager is at fault and is making no effort. The manager cannot be pulled away from his girls in the back, is too afraid to handle a simple problem immediately. Our server made a mistake, but he owned up to it without blaming anyone else but himself. He did everything he could to make it up to us. The problem with all of this lies in the management making zero effort in helping his staff that was actually working, being too afraid to come talk to his customers and fraternizing with his young employees. To top all of this off as we were leaving he has the nerve to blame it on the new employees he was training. If our server was new, which he clearly wasn't, why was he by himself in the dining room? Handling complaints? I think if you are training people, you should at least acknowledge their presence. Clearly the training that needs to happen first is with the management, it is unforgivable that a family can go out to dinner and have one person in the family go without eating while the management is too busy flirting to make any effort and then pass the buck on...

I got to be honest there must be five hundred pizza places in Albuquerque? I like to give every restaurant three chances to try the food and the service. This was the third time I ate at this Mario's Pizzeria located on Paseo Del Norte and Wyoming. I always get the same toppings on the pizza but my girlfriend always likes two or three pieces with pineapple and the waitress always says I'm sorry we can't do just two or three pieces with pineapple on the pizza. I say What's the difference 3 pieces or half the pizza if you want to charge me for half the pizza fine but I only want three pieces of pineapple. Nope she couldn't do it had to get the manager over there and make a big deal about three pieces of pizza with pineapple. Anyway the antipasto salad that we got and shared was nothing to speak about I had to put my glasses on to find the salami and cheese in the salad LOL.I could have read the newspaper through the cheese without even turning on the lights. Anyway bottom line the pizza came to our table it. was definitely piping hot the cheese had no taste to it the sauce definitely had no taste to it. We ask that the pineapple be baked on the pizza when it goes in the oven for some reason they just sprinkle the pineapples on three pieces after it comes out of the oven and delivers it to the table I don't know why that's such a hard request. Bottom line I don't recommend Mario's unless you're just really hard up and you don't have any Chef Boyardee Raviolis in a can at home because they would probably be better. This part I really like with the young waitresses nowadays they automatically assume no matter how the food tastes or what the service is they automatically assume that they're going to get a tip not only did I not leave a tip for two reasons the food sucked and she didn't give me any small bills when she brought back my change from hundred dollar bill. They should not assume that they're going to...
