McDonald's — Restaurant in Albuquerque

I was just there, and placed my order at the drive thru after waiting 20 min. in line. I paid for my food and pulled up to the next window to pick up my food. I waited 5 min. and the employee gave me our drinks, and told me to pull up because our food wasn't ready. After waiting another 15 min. I see other cars driving up and getting their food. I get out of my car and see an employee walking into the building and tell her that I didn't get my food yet, and she tells me she is going to get somebody. A guy comes out and asks me what I ordered. I tell him what I ordered and he tells me to wait and goes back in. I wait another 5 min. So, I'm furious by now, and finally decide to go around to the front of the store to see if i can talk to a manager. The restaurant lobby is closed. The security guard tells me that they closed the lobby at 2pm. So, i then tell him my situation. He unlocks the lobby door to the restaurant, goes in, and tells the McDonald's employee that i didnt get my order yet. He comes out with our food and hands it to me, and apologizes to me, and stated to me that they are busy in there. So i leave the store with our food. After driving off and checking to see if our order is correct, i realize that they didn't put one of the combination meals in the bag. I was going to turn around to get the missing combination meal, but told myself to forget about it. It's not worth the hassle. This McDonald's is the worst location in the city and should be closed down. DON'T GO TO THIS...

Edit to add (Aug 25, 2025): haven't tried this location in over a year and it's STILL horrible! Even worse than I remember. Food was disgusting and inedable (sausage McMuffin was hard as a rock coffee tasted a week old I asked for cream and sugar and they maybe put a pinch of sugar) hash brown was disgusting as well I didn't eat or drink any of it just one bite and then threw it away there's still a ton of homeless people and criminals surrounding the whole entire building. So do yourself a favor not only financially but for physical safety as well do not go to this location ever!

This location is always busy. Wish their drive thru was quicker. I'm a driver with Door Dash and I'm always waiting at least 15 to 20 mins. I never usually order food for myself but I needed a coffee so thought id get a coffee and a cinnamon roll. The coffee is okay but the cinnamon roll is DISGUSTING! It has to be at least 2/4 days old and is hard as a rock. SO GROSS! I highly recommend NOT eating at this location.

Edit to add: it's been well over a year now since I added a review for this McDonald's. And it's only gotten extremely worse since then. I still deliver for Door Dash/Uber and literally every time I get an order between the hours of 1am-4am, they are ALWAYS "closed" or their"system is down" 🙄 Sounds more like the night crew just doesn't want to work. It's literally 9 times out of 10 if I accept an order between those hours, they're closed/can't fulfill the Uber/Door dash order. Coincidence? I...

I walked into have a late lunch. Ordered my meal and drink. While I was waiting for my food I went to the soda fountain and was going to get a drink. While in the middle of filling up my cup the fountain stopped working. The light also went off, I was puzzled and after trying it again I went to counter and asked. The lady who was a manager and wasn't the one who helped me, said I can't get a drink until I paid for it. I told her I did pay for it and she argued with me saying I didn't and was trying to steal soda. That if I wanted to get soda I had to show her a receipt. Seeing is how I tossed my receipt in the trash I wasn't about to do that. So I told her again that I did pay and she needed to turn it on. She threatened to call the police on me and that need to leave. I was about to say more but the girl who did help me came back and saw what was happening, she then told the manager that I had bought my food and drink. At that point she finally relented and turned the fountain back. She didn't even apologize, she just walked away. It was the girl that helped me that apologized. I had went in after work and was a little dirty, but that was no excuse for this manager to treat me like she did and then not even apologize. I would tell anybody to stay away from this McDonald's, it may be convenient being right next to UNM. But it isn't worth it if you're going to judged...
