Pop Pop's Italian Ice & Exotic Snacks — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Pop Pop's had been a local secret, one of those tucked away places that had the best. When they were displaced, and then eventually shuttering altogether, their quality was astounding. Today? An uninviting storefront with reflective screening that makes it difficult to determine if they are open at a glance. The interior is well done and inviting. The service was fantastic, very quick and appropriate, even going so far as to open the fresh batch of lemon for my 2nd chance. (A year ago I had tried and was disappointed.)

I was praying that their quality would have returned to the Pop Pop's brand of yore. The "fresh batch" had some ice particles about a millimeter in size, it wasn't vibrant or floral, the way lemon should be, it was watery, kind of like "hot dog water" vibes. Nobody wants hot dog water when they can have a hot dog instead right? Their poor flavor and quality tarnishes the good name of the original, something that they, apparently, have failed...

OMG IM SOO EXCITED TO HAVE A POP-POP's BACK!!! i was Seriously distraught when the old original one closed down a few years! & this new place IS DELICIOUS!! so i got a large Watermelon Gelati 🍉 🍦 Italian Ice & a pretzel w/ cheese 🥨, & I gotta say ths, i was presently satisfied w my entire order! The ONLY critique i could make, would be that it doesn't have even 1/3 of all the flavor varieties that the old Pop-Pop's had,...... but hey, to my recollection the old Pop-Pop's never had Gelati 's or Icebreakers EITHER!!! 😝 & they have 🍉, which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE flavor anyways! (Now if they start making a vanilla like the old places (😋mmmmm that was 2die 4) ... or a 🍌 flavor to the menu, then this place would be Truly Ideal & the place to beat! I'd come Every day! But,.... as it is..... i think I'm STILL gonna come here at Least one a week! 😘 ITS THAT GOOD!...

I never thought there was such a thing as Pineapple Ice Cream, and it is delicious 😍 you can get 2 flavors into your drink. Yesterday I tried the Watermelon and Tiger's Blood, today it was Blue Raspberry and Passionfruit with the Pineapple Ice Cream 🥰 I cannot decide which combination takes the win on this, try them both and let me know which you choose. Will definitely be coming back! They also have a variety of Japanese snacks along with Pokémon and DZB style of drinks and snacks. I got some things for my Pokémon enthusiasts and some awesome skittles. The popcorn was also very good as well. If you want to check out a place that caters to chilling you and the family off in this heat, make a stop here ☺️...
