Rex's hamburgers is a hidden gem located in the shopping center near Montgomery and San Pedro. While the outside and interior decor leave much to be desired. What ultimately matters the most (i.e. the burgers) are a preferable alternative to your standard restaurant/fast food chain fare. Prepared quickly and cooked on an open grill, Rex's can indeed be described as a "hole in a wall" type of joint. During my most recent visit, I chose the avocado burger platter. Each meal includes crispy plain fries, drink, and your choice of applesauce or vanilla pudding. While the latter options may seem somewhat unorthodox. They do ultimately remind you that no age is too great to enjoy a snack-bite serving of one of your favorite childhood delicacies. As for the burger, all I can say is that it is juicy, perfectly grilled, properly sized, and everything a good American burger should be. As fast food combo meal prices continue to up as quality remains second rate. Places like Rex remind you that for the same price, you both enjoy a better made product and help out a locally owned business. That said, if in the Montgomery and San Pedro area, stop by Rex's and indulge in what it has to offer.

The burger is good, but wasn't hot or very warm. The soda was flat. The fries are a bit plain, but okay. I placed my order for delivery at 2:56pm and didn't get my food until around 3:25 or a little later and I live right across the street. It took the guy about 5-7 minutes to delivery it and knocked extremely low. If I hadn't have been at the door I wouldn't have heard him. I put in my credit card information and there was no option for tip. They deducted and extra $13 or so worth of stuff when I wasn't told they would. They automatically deducted $2 or so for tip without my permission. I recommend either doing takeout or going somewhere else. I work at Domino's and they don't do any of that stuff and get you your food way faster. They charged me extra because I wanted cheese. What a rip. You'd think since I live across the street my food would be hot, but no. I bit into the onion ring and it was cold. The burger was lukewarm and the fries were lukewarm as well. The only thing that was hot was the ketchup. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Well. What can i say? The onion rings were good, fries just OK, burger? Pretty over priced if you ask me but it was reasonable. Now for the tragic news, don't know her name but she wore the same gloves when she rang up our order, brought our food out to us (minus the mayo we asked for when we ordered lunch, yes, apparently she 'forgot' in 3 minutes), she then bused the tables, cleaned and emptied the trays, played a video on her phone and began to prepare food as well as ringing up 3 more customers while we were there. When she was ringing our order, she took out a chocolate and ate it infront of us when trying to type in our order. Please keep in mind she was wearing the same gloves the whole time, discusting. Sorry, had to flog the staf for this, it could have been a great experience for us, instead we were discusted by this breach of sanitation policies. I hope she gets retrained before she makes anyone sick.

In the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, lies a culinary gem that has redefined the art of burger-making: Rex Hamburgers. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by the aroma of sizzling patties and the warm hospitality of Rex himself, the mastermind behind these delectable creations.

My boyfriend opted for the double cheeseburger, while I savored the cheeseburger with avocado. Every bite was a symphony of flavors – juicy beef, gooey cheese, and fresh toppings nestled between perfectly warmed buns. And let's not forget the sides – onion rings, french fries, and corndogs that were nothing short of addictive.

But what truly sets Rex Hamburgers apart is the passion and dedication that permeates every aspect of the dining experience. Rex himself can be found at the grill, crafting each burger with care and precision. It's this personal touch that elevates the entire experience, leaving you with a lasting impression that will have you yearning for more.

While the establishment itself may be modest in appearance, it's this simplicity that allows the burgers to take center stage. The menu may be concise, but each item is a testament to Rex's commitment to quality and flavor.

In conclusion, Rex Hamburgers isn't just the best burger joint in Albuquerque – it's a destination worth traveling for. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to Rex's is an absolute must. Prepare to be dazzled by the unparalleled taste and charm of this hidden...

I love Rex burgers. Last week I ordered 6 rex burgers platters with vanilla pudding and soft drinks. When I got home we had 5 orders and we were given applesauce, I called back and no answer. I just wanted what I paid for.

Today, again we went for rex burger platters and a bean and cheese burrito with no chile. Got home and bean and cheese burrito had chile in it not good for someone who has an allergic reaction to chile right. I called and the young waitress rudly replied "What do you me to do about it?" I asked if they could make a new one upon returning the order that incorrectly made. And she stayed quiet. Puddings this time around was only 1/4 full and very discolored old looking. Very disappointed with the customer service. I feel we should get what we pd for. I've never had such attitudes ever from there and the reduction of meat another thing I noticed. I used love Rex burgers and would've highly recommended this burger joint before this quarantine. Not now. So disappointed. Seriously. Come Rex. I love the food from there. Get rid of the young girl with the bad attitude that alone will promote repeat customers that we have been going to you for years and new ones as well. We need the friendly people back along with the...

I tried to try Rex’s for the first time this evening. When we pulled up it looked closed because the parking lot was basically empty. Outside the restaurant were two tables on the sidewalk with cheap plastic deck chairs for seating.

When we walked in, we weren’t sure if we sat ourselves or waited to be sat. The cook looked at us and flicked his head toward an empty ordering counter farther inside the restaurant. No greeting, smile, or other acknowledgment of any kind.

There were only two other patrons in the entire restaurant sharing a booth. A server was cleaning a table, then headed behind the ordering counter. Again, no greeting, smile, or acknowledgement of any kind. The phone rang and she answered it. We didn’t get a “I’ll be right with you; I’ve gotta take this call.”

After standing there for a bit, we decided we’d spend our money elsewhere. Why eat at a grease burger joint when you can’t even get the employees to acknowledge you? Given there was a 1:1 ratio of employees to patrons (besides us), staffing wasn’t an issue.

They just don’t seem to give a darn whether you’re there or not, so we chose to leave. There are plenty of other burger dives that will take my money. It made sense why the parking lot and...
