&pizza — Restaurant in Alexandria

I ordered two pizzas online. I was not able to call it in as the only phone number was for corporate, which kept referring me back to the website with no human contact. I had never ordered from this place before. I was visiting from the west coast and wanted to get my 90 year old father a mushroom and onion pizza for nostalgic reasons. I special ordered the mushroom/onion one and also ordered one of their specialty pizzas that also had mushrooms. My daughter and I paid $40 for the two online, adding a $5 tip, because yes, everyone asks for tips before service now😠.

When we picked up the pizzas, they gave them to my daughter, who brought them out to the car. I said we should check the order, which we did, and they were both wrong - no mushrooms on either, wrong cheese on both, and missing fig balsamic glaze on one. I brought them back in and the only response I got was "sorry, we're out of mushrooms" and "everything else is right". Two things here: 1) they were sending us off w/o telling us we had no mushrooms and 2) the cheese was wrong and it took pulling both employees over and literally pick up a piece of cheese off the pizza to get them to realize/admit that it was wrong!! I just gave up on the glaze. BTW, I had left my number when I ordered, so someone could have called about the mushrooms.

All the two staff members did was shrug their shoulders and say we could call a manager. I eventually insisted that they redo the pizza for my father, with at least the right cheese, if no mushrooms. All the while my other pizza is getting cold. My daughter and I really wanted to cancel and get pizza from another place, but we didn't have the time, as my father had a limited window available for dinner.

The pizzas were mediocre and the service AWFUL!!! ...

I used to be a huge fan of &pizza and especially loved the customization. I haven’t been in a while but was craving a good pizza.

When I walked in I noticed the new menu items, salads and tacos then I also noticed the new Kiosk. Kiosk usually gives the staff an excuse to ignore patrons and give mediocre service so of course there was no greeting and I was only spoken to when my order was ready which took 20 mins although there were only 2 customers in the store.

I decided to try the tacos since it was national taco day, I ordered all 3 options. The box was pretty small I expected the tacos to be bigger. They were burnt to a crisp and I actually don’t mind crispy but they were actually black. I wouldn’t even serve that to my child at home. I would have the decency to throw it out and make a new fresh one to serve. Some of the toppings like the corn and onions were also burnt. The flavor of the tacos was masked by the overall blackened burnt appearance.

Sadly this will be my last time visiting &pizza. I gave them grace after the Marion Barry incident but they’re definitely...

One Star Disaster

I've never been so disappointed in a pizza place. The service was absolutely abysmal. The staff seemed completely indifferent to customers, ignoring our requests and taking forever to even acknowledge our presence.

The ordering system was a convoluted mess. You place your order on a screen, and you sit for 40 minutes until you ask to speak work a manager because the workers haven’t started your order. The manager seemed completely oblivious to the chaos, only checking on their staff or the long line of frustrated customers after I asked to speak with her.

The pizza itself, when it finally arrived, was just average. The soft and chewy cookie was everything but and the extra sauce on the side did not accompany my order, so after a 45 minute wait we didn’t even get what we ordered. It certainly didn't make up for the terrible service. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place at all costs and wouldn’t be suppressed if this location is closed...
