Johnny's Pizza House — Restaurant in Alexandria

I have always loved Johnny's. I have 5 kids and this has been a "go to" place for us. We typically get 3 pizzas, wings and Cinnamon sticks. Today we went in.. placed our order including BBQ Boneless wings. We got the wings and they were just sort of drizzled with BBQ sauce. I thought no big deal.. there's someone new in the kitchen. I went to the counter to get a cup to get some ranch off the salad bar like I always do and one guys looks at me from the kitchen and doesn't say a word. Then 2 girls that were cutting up saw me.. one of the girls said "oh" as she looked at me.. so I thought she was about to come ask me what I wanted.. nope.. she just kept making her pizza. Then the lady who had been working the counter comes out. I asked for the cup for ranch for my wings.. she says "73 cents." I said but I just ordered BBQ wings doesn't it come with a dipping sauce.. she said yeah you got BBQ. I haven't ever ordered wings anywhere and not get a complimentary dipping sauce on top of the flavor. I asked to speak with the manager and all she could tell me was that they had just changed ownership and it was their corporate policy. This is like charging for ketchup when you order fries. Policy or not... You don't charge for ranch when you order wings.... Especially after I just dropped nearly...

My kids and I went for the buffet on a Saturday right before the pandemic. I wasted almost $50 of my hard earned money (I took 4 kids 2 of which are charged as adults). I asked if a cheese and pepperoni pizza could be made for the buffet since they don't make pizzas and bring them to the table anymore. We waited 40 minutes and still neither pizza was made! Plus there was this couple that came in 10 minutes before we left(still hungry) that ordered a pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and their pizza was made and brought to their table. Regardless of if it was ordered from the buffet or not, if a pepperoni pizza was made for them why couldn't one be made for the buffet? I'm not understanding, if pepperoni and cheese pizzas are the most desired pizzas why would those pizzas not have a place on the buffet no matter what rotation or order they put pizzas on the buffet. CiCi's would never!!!! They've been in business for years because of this smart choice. Johnny's could learn a thing or two from CiCi's. I asked for the owner's number but was only given the store manager's number. Get it together...

I can't even. What an absolute train wreck.

We ordered a few things for delivery, and it was well over an hour with no update. It took ten minutes for someone to answer and was informed that no Doordash driver would pick it up. We set the tip for $10, by the way. Asked for a refund and was put on hold. Cut us off or hung up. Great. Called back and was told our order had been picked up by another Doordash driver, but we asked to speak to the manager. Put on hold again. Took four more times to speak to her! Apologized and said they were having severe problems with Doordash, but our order was still here. They got our order confused with someone else? What?! Whatever! Finally, got a refund processed.

The manager also went on a rant about another Doordash driver entering their freezer and stealing all the wings. She had to go to Walmart to buy great value wings to cook.

Ordered with Domino's, though, and it was perfect.

Johnny's won't be seeing a dime of our business again. Threw away all the free vouchers we received in the mail a few weeks ago straight in...
