I love to see new locally-owned restaurants. Sadly, I don't think that this one will be around long if they don't figure out how to do restauranting. I ordered the 12-ounce ribeye with a double order of broccoli because I am diabetic and cannot eat the potato options. My plate had 1/2 of a baked potato, 1/2 of a sweet potato and broccoli and a steak that appeared to be a New York strip. The person sitting next to me was brought a plate with the same exact sides and a steak that looked like something between a strip and ribeye. I was probably my ribeye, but with the wrong sides.
Yet another person got a ribeye much larger and more ribeye looking than the indeterminate steak. I gave the strip to the person who ordered strip and kept the indeterminate steak. It was terrible and over-cooked.
My wife ordered a lamb kebab, medium, and got a lamb kebob, well-done and virtually inedible. No one got their choice of potato because everyone got a 1/2 baked/1/2 sweet potato as one of their sides. When we asked the waitress why we didn't get what we ordered, she said "That is just how he does it."
On top of the issues with the food, the service was terrible. I didn't expect much atmosphere because I am familiar with the building. On the plus side, the salad bar wasn't bad and the actual ribeye was decent, but with a large piece of gristle in it.
This is just a low quality restaurant claiming to be much more. Every other steak option in Alexandria is much better...
Read moreMy wife and I have been wanting to try this place for about a month or so and have been looking forward to trying the steak. We both ordered ribeyeâs, one medium rare and the other medium well along with broccoli. While we waited for our order, we each made a salad at the salad bar, which was nothing special and some of the lettuce had browned. Once our entrees were brought out, we cut into the steaks and had our first bites. I hate to say it, but I believe paper has more flavor than what I put in my mouth. The broccoli had zero flavor. The hostess was watching from the hostess stand and could immediately tell something wasnât right and came over to ask how everything was. I explained that it wasnât good at all as well as my wifeâs. The hostess was very polite and explained to the kitchen staff that the food wasnât good. We literally had one bite of the steak and broccoli each. I couldnât force myself to take another bite.
We love to see local businesses popping up, but this is one place I will not be going back to nor recommending anyone to go to. The prices are too high for the quality of food. You get better quality, price and atmosphere at Texas Roadhouse. If Iâm paying $30+ for a ribeye, it should be a quality meal with a...
Read moreThe fb page says the bogo deal is Tuesdays and Wednesdays, to get there and they said itâs only a deal for lunch time. Then the menu says the salad bar comes with ALL meals but they said it doesnât when they seen us at the salad bar. Wait time wasnât very long but when the food came they messed it up and had to remake. We ordered two hamburgers, one with no cheese and they put cheese on it. Then the hamburger tastes like they bought it at Walmart. Itâs didnât season it. It was supposed to be a âribeyeâ hamburger.. definitely wasnât. The atmosphere feels dirty and run down.
There was one waiter working her tail off. She was nice and trying her best.
Definitely wonât be back, that food was not worth the...
