Long Tree was a disaster for there Mother’s Day Special. I called the day prior to make a Noon reservation, they made the reservation for 1000 on Mother’s Day per a confirmation text. So I immediately contacted them back and cleared the confusion up on the Noon reservation. We arrived Sunday at 1155 for our Noon reservation our party of 10. Which included my elderly mother in law whom is 84 and my own mother whom has terminal cancer. When we arrived the host stated that we could all be placed in different seats or wait as the previous reservation was running longer then expected. They arrived at 1000 and were still dining. We stated that we could be patient and wait. Another lady came came and spoke to me (presume a shift manager) stating that she could not control when they leave and I quote “I am not about to kicks them out.” I responded with absolutely not we will be patient and wait as we assumed it would be momentarily. After waiting 40 minutes I stepped back up asking the host if she knew approximately how much longer it would be. She needed to go and check with the manager, as I am seeing seats that could be placed together for the 10 as I am asking her. She came back and stated that it would be at least 35-45 minutes if not longer. Obviously disgusted, we removed our selves from the list and exited the restaurant. We vacation in Alexandria at our cabin weekly and have been to several restaurants in the area which were all tremendously amazing. This was HANDS DOWN the WORST experience I have ever encountered from any location with in the tri state area. The utter lack of concern or apology for such conflict proves to me that the management/staff is less then trained to be in there positions. WE WILL...
Read moreI made a reservation on their website for dinner tonight to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. There website is pretty easy to use to schedule a reservation. The atmosphere is nice with a pleasant wood fire smell. The food here was also delicious! I ordered the Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc and Nordic Blu Salmon. My husband got a Bison Steakhouse Burger. My father-in-law got a Michelob Golden with Pork Chop. Everything tasted phenomenal and the salmon that I ordered was really good with the green sauce that it was served with. I finished my meal in a heartbeat!
Of note, the server kinda ruined the mood for me tonight. Try to avoid getting “Tucker L.” as your server. (He never introduced himself to us but that was the name on the receipt.) He was very inattentive to us and too busy talking to the hostesses. He gave us two waters when there are three people and forgot to get an extra glass of water for the third person. He never once looked at our table to check on us when he was talking to them. The table next to us also had him as a server and they seemed mad that he forgot about them. We overheard them talk to a different server that they still haven’t ordered there food after being seated for a while. I was upset by how unprofessional our server was. I hope the restaurant owner will retrain the staff or talk to the server about professionalism. Also, none of the staff didn’t even say happy birthday to my father-in-law, which I stated was the occasion...
Read moreIt was an above par experience. The staff was friendly, prices seemed fair, food was good, and the wood smoked smell while coming into the building was amazing.
I ordered the cheeseburger and it was actually one of the best cheeseburgers I've had ytd. It was well seasoned, juicy, and large. The order of fries with it was generous and tasty. They reminded my of Five Guys fries but slightly crispier.
My wife had the fish and chips and albeit not the best she ever had it was passable. The dipping sauce that came with it was amazing. It actually went amazingly with the fries, although she didn't share the same enthusiasm for the fries that I had.
My daughter had the kids Mac n cheese and after we stirred it up it was creamy and tasty. Also it was refreshing to see t it wasn't just Kraft Dinner. My daughter also was not a fan of the fries, but that meant more for me.
The only really downside is if you are use to the Doolittles that use to be there. The menu is quite a bit smaller and missing some items we loved from the other business.
8/10 I would eat here again especially if I was craving a cheeseburger.
Oh and get the garlic monkey bread, I loved it so much I almost bought a second togo order after dinner...
