I’ve been here about 20 times and every single time I get bad service, waitress is nice but inattentive, they take my order and never come back around , you ask for something and they go do other things then 15 mins later they finally bring the condiments.. after my food is cold. today is the fourth time that I have to double check my receipt and noticed that they changed the prices of my items by 2-3$ each.. increasing my entire tab double digits. The workers didn’t want to honor the prices listed so they call and put me on the phone with the owner who then passes me on to talk to his son who laughs about why I’m calling, and says there’s fine print at the bottoms of the menu that say “prices may change” when clearly the menu is brand new since I saw the old menu many times that I’ve been here before (I’m a frequent customer, well was at this point) if someone puts prices may change on their menu that means they intent on changing them at anytime convenient without taking time to make a new updated menu, aka lazy.. the owners wife takes the phone from the son and tell me that they will finally go or the menu pricing. The phone is now handed to the manager of the restaurant and I can hear the manager tell the owner that they need to fix the menu as multiple customers always get upset, that this isn’t the first time and they need to actually fix the menu not just change prices whenever they want to. So the manager was nice and the waitress was nice too she just didn’t have good serving customer service and was inattentive the whole time. I did only see two waitresses which had to take orders, cash people out, serve, clean tables. I understand they are only two but even after they did all their thing then they would just talk instead of refilling drinks or taking additional orders from tables including mine.half the items I went there for they didn’t have so I had to order different items.. food is good but service isn’t. And I too they over charge as they want and when they feel like changing prices without changing menu pricing . That’s not how you run a business. If I see a price listed that’s what I expect to pay. Updated review 11/24: For years we’ve come here for the excellent Salteñas and baked goods. I just tried their $22 bife de chorizo (NY Strip). Having just returned from a trip to South America where I overindulged yet again in bife de chorizos my expectations were not high. Yet this may have been one of the tastiest bife de chorizos I have ever eaten! 😱Large, tender meat cooked to perfection combined with a tasty chimichurri marinade makes this an outstanding, flavorful steak. I highly recommend it! My only regret is that I have been coming to eat their excellent salteñas for decades when I could have been coming to eat their outstanding bife de chorizos! 🥴

My wife had the milanesa de bife, a large breaded steak cooked well with a very crunchy coating. Nice! Also recommended.

The Spicy Tongue was not spicy and lacked flavor generally, but it was not bad. The Spicy Chicken was not spicy but it did have flavor. Not enough sauce on either for the amount of rice and potatoes you get. Bread served with the meal but should probably make that upon request as most folks did not appear to finish it or even touch it in some cases (yes I was watching). The fried banana with whipped cream and refried beans were good. The menu is extremely meat heavy and many dishes looked delicious. Our portions were good and prices were just slightly higher than average. General atmosphere does not lend one to believe it would be anything beyond average.
