Disappointing food. I've had good beef substitute burgers before and this wasn't among them. Burger was very, very moist (mysterious considering the absence of grease and the dearth of sauce) and slid around all over the place. Flavor was alright, it had the strong taste meat substitutes have that's not bad. The fries were fine, and the not-chicken nuggets were satisfactory. The milkshake was probably the biggest unexpected disappointment; weirdly thin and lacking. I got a mint cookie shake and it wasn't very minty, and the cookie was way too big to drink with the shake. Ended up with a mass of soggy cookie at the bottom of the cup, which displaced shake space. This particular location is also just in a Whole Foods? Which isn't very clear. We almost parked in the Whole Foods garage, were like "wait we aren't going to Whole Foods," went to a different garage, walked here, and it's in the Whole Foods. You also have to just use the Whole Foods dining facilities, which is fine, but also means the restaurant...
Read moreI donât go very often (it costs a pretty penny) but I never have a problem when I order there. I usually would get just the shakes, which are soy-free, and arenât heavy on the coconut milk like a lot of vegan products are, and I believe itâs free of canola oil based off the allergen list, but not sure. (Tried finding whatâs used and only concluded potato protein is used.) I also like the Meati chicken sandwiches; theyâre pretty good. Definitely not the same flavor as meat, but flavored well enough and does deliver protein (mycoprotein) and less ingredients than the beyond burger base (and a nice alternative for those who have issues with pea protein like me). Also the green bean fries were phenomenal, though I didnât taste the horseradish much in the horseradish sauce. But yeah overall, Iâve been...
Read moreMy friend hasn't tried vegan food before and was open to trying it with me today so we chose this restaurant. We ordered two spicy chick'n sandwiches about $25. The service was quick. Staff was friendly. I loved the sandwich at first bite but it really was my friend's reaction that made the experience memorable. "How isn't this chicken but its so good!?!" I think my friend finished the sandwich in 10 minutes. Definitely would be repeat customers.
Negatives: parked in the public garage and for the walk to the restaurant and back about 15 minutes we paid $15 because it was the weekend. Was not expecting as the signage...
