I had been here once before years ago and based on that I set a low bar. However, the pizza was better than I expected and improved over my last visit. I ordered a personal pizza this time rather than slices so it was fresh and that may have been the difference or could be just different experiences on different visits. NY style pizza, and it was that, no droop in the crust, the amount of cheese and distribution was correct and the cheese was not overly greasy or oily. The sauce was also ok, not too sweet or acidic. The amount of ingredients was also appropriate , see photo. I had pepperoni although I would have taken a bit more on mine. My buddy had 1/2 cheese, 1/2 sausage and the sausage on his was more and had good coverage. I gave it a 6.1 grade and my buddy gave it a 7.8 so some disparity on those. He liked his, and NY style is his jam. I like NY style also, and I liked it, but didn't feel like it offered anything amazing from a flavor or quality standpoint. Still a solid basic option though. We were the first people of the day. Ceiling lights near the counter were on but all kitchen and dining lights were off and remained off while we were there. He also asked that we pay with the cash rather than with a credit card when I went to pay. Odd request, and a bit of a turn off for me but we obliged and paid cash. No parking, but there are paid garages and paid street parking nearby. Order and pickup at the counter and bus your own table. The place has a cafeteria look and feel to it. All in all, a good basic pie and worth a try.

I ordered 3 salads and 3 meatball subs to go and was extremely disappointed when I got home… wasn’t a great way to start a long weekend… Sub (pictured): 4 tiny meatballs on the whole sub, barely toasted and the marinara tasted akin to the prego I remember from childhood. Spinach and Argula salad (pictured below): Ingredients did not match the menu, the tomatoes are not yellow teardrop, the walnuts were not candied, and the “herb” crusted chevre was just rolled in rough chopped parsley. The balsamic dressing was closer to a solid than a liquid. Caesar Salad: Small portion of greens, no Parmesan anywhere in sight and the Caesar dressing tasted off… kind of like milk just before it goes bad. “Greek” Salad: Small portion of greens, missing half of the ingredients per the menu, but they substituted in large carrot sticks and an unknown cheese cut into logs…. Totally the same as tomatoes and cucumbers If you would like a refund for your order it will take you about 15 minutes on the phone and then someone will tell you they are coming to pick up the uneaten food… they will come to pick up the food, be generally pleasant, tell you you’re wrong and refund you for the portion that was not consumed. So word to the wise - don’t feed a terrible meatball sub to your dog before you call the restaurant.

We had the cutest young waiter tonight. I think it may have been his second night of working because he had to organize and name and quantify every decision made from our 3 family, 11 person party. He really was a nice and kind waiter. We ordered drinks which were all bottled so there was no free refill. We hoped to order pizza by the slice as listed online and on their menu but because of COVID they did not offer pizza by the slice. We regrouped our orders and bought a few pies and other items like ravioli, salads and quesadillas. The food was good. The waiter was really nice. It was my birthday and I got a free dessert. I picked a piece of carrot cake and it was delicious! I shared it with the table and we all agreed the carrot cake was really great. We possibly stayed later than we should have. We left at 1030. I should have looked at their closing time! We were all just talking and enjoying company so we should have checked but they didn’t complain or kick us out!

I have mixed feelings on my order. I ordered $56 of food, a deep dish lg pizza with 3 toppings, a cheese calzone, and chicken parm dinner. Part of the $56 was a $5 delivery fee, a 0.75 service fee, and a 10% tip. I was a pizza maker and restaurant manager for 12 yrs... my lesson learned from that time in my career is, poor customer service can ruin a business more than mediocre or bad food. I had chosen a no contact delivery, and I live in a highrise in Alexandria. When the delivery was made I had a call and was told I needed to come down to the lobby to get it. I said he had to come up to my floor. He said no, he was unable to do that. I went down to the lobby with my mask on and I said "I ordered a no contact delivery." The guy with no mask or gloves on shoved the pizza box at me and said "here...no contact.". So much for customer service 101. I should have not added a tip in my order. With that said... the pizza crust and sauce is pretty good... one of the best in Alexandria that I've had so far. I'm not a fan of crumble sausage, italian sausage should be sliced, pepperoni was good, but it was odd that the onions had little smell or taste- i have to assume they were cut and possibly left uncovered from earlier in the week. I haven't tried the calzone or chicken parm yet, but ill update if they are worth mentioning. Based on other reviews, this restaurant has still not dealt properly with their customer service issues... I won't order again from them if this is how a delivery is executed and acceptable to the management/owner. As a sorta new implant in Alexandria, I think i need to keep looking for the right pizza and italian food...

When I walked into the empty place. I was greeted with a stare by 3 people. They spoke to each other in a foreign language. Then they finally said may I help you. So, I ordered a medium pizza and a salad. I proceeded to sit down and wait for my order as it was being prepared. I watch the lady not wash her hands nor wear gloves. While waiting a young guy walks in and he was hawking and coughing. He walks in proceeds without washing his hands. Then he finally walks to the sink. I was trying to see if he was washing his hands. But, looked more as if he was trying to scoop water into his mouth. Not sure if he spit in the sink. I also heard the guy that took my order say to the young guy that I ordered a salad. I couldn’t see the salad being made due to them leaving the prep area and going behind the kitchen. I was praying that neither one of them prepared my salad. Due to me not seeing anyone WASH their hands!!! While the pizza was being made the lady that made the pizza. Picked up her cell phone with her bare hands. Cellphones carry a lot of 🦠 germs. Once my order was ready. The salad looked nothing like the picture that was advertised. I asked if they had ranch then the guy stayed $2.00. So, I said well I’ll switch it out. I also reminded him that the salad looked nothing like the picture. And that I didn’t want it. So instead of him giving me a refund. He said here take the ranch. Overall the pizza was delicious. I prayed and hoped the oven...
