Looking at the previous reviews and pictures with celebrities we came to this place. We usually do not eat Indian food outside. We arrived at 5:53pm, we were seated properly. The restaurant was not even half full, there were 5 empty tables. We were given the menu around 6:20. Still no water served. Table besides us had also not been served any food and they were there before us. Table in front of us had requested Luke warm water, and they had to follow up twice to get it. At 6:33 I checked with the people on our side if they had ordered. And they were sitting there for 45 mins already. The owner was basically running confused across tables, looking confused, trying to do everything, running bills on the iPad, giving to-go orders. But never even came to us or to any other table to take the order or provide a glass of water even. There were people lining up outside, and no one was there to attend to them. I gently asked one of the employee, who came to clear the table, if they are under staffed- his response was- “No we are not. It is just busy”. - I told him if he considered half of his restaurant empty as being super busy, and he responded YES. That was funny. These guys may have the pictures on yelp, but they definitely do no the have the service and definitely cannot handle more than 3 tables. Oh wait !! There is more. Around 6:30 the owner came over to take our order, we started giving him, after we were finished he said - “oh ! Wait I will forget everything, let me get my notepad”. I was like seriously dude !!
There was really no respect for a table with two kids.
We came to your place to be served and this is what we get. And on top of that- you also ruined our rest of the evening plans by making us sit in your restaurant for 40 mins without a glass of water. And here I am spending 5 mins more to...
Read moreHave you ever had delicious Indian food with a modern twist? @delhibellyla is delicious. It holds purity in its authentic flavors that stems from grinding their own spices in house daily. Everything is fresh and from scratch, and you will know this upon first taste. I love that the Owners, Sourav Biswas and Sagar Ghosh, strive for Quality and excellence. Careful care in the kitchen shows the love and energy placed in each dish. It is by no surprise that they have won an award for best Restaurant of the year, and have expanded to open up a second called “Indigo” in Huntington Beach. . Sourav presented me with a feast to try, and it was so hard to pick a favorite. The Pani puri was a fun appetizer, with the execution of different textures in one bite. My go-to always is saag paneer, and noticed their dish was bright green, as they are very particular by using fresh baby spinach, instead of the regular frozen ones that turns this popular dish dark green. It was a creamy decadence, and will say that it is by far the best I’ve ever had. I loved the fresh ginger for on top to add brightness. The butter chicken was outstanding with complexity in flavors, that caused me to pause with intrigue and curiosity. “WHAT is IN here?”So addicting…so, so good. The Haryali Chicken Kabob is a signature specialty by Sourav, not on the menu, but with such unique flavors, I hope it will be soon! There were 2 delicious desserts, and the mango was my fave. There are many outstanding things to discover here at Delhi Belly. If you’re craving QUALITY authentic #indian with a modern twist, this place is a must. Thank you Sourav & Sagar! A treat for my senses! . dishes devoured: Pani Puri Masala Papad Haryali Chicken Kabob Tandoori Chicken Wings Butter Chicken Saag Paneer Cumin Cilantro Rice Garlic Naan For Dessert: Mango...

We came to the restaurant in a rainy day but we were very hungry and also try what kind of items they serve I know some Indian restaurants served different version of the Indian cuisine and also trying fusion to bring Indian and other nationality to created new flavors. We were seated right away and handed us the menu and we were looking at the menu and the items sound really especially thev chicken tikka taco no jokes tacos that thev one thing we were very curious about.
We start to order the potato & peas Samosa then the chicken tikka taco then the signature butter chicken, and rice we also order garlic Naan and Rosemary and garlic naan. The potatoe & peas Samosa were amazing good the outside was very crispy and golden brown but the filling potatoe & peas were delicious great flavors but come to two dipping flavors they were also good but not spicy.
