Jethro’s is a true hidden gem, tucked a little off the beaten path — but GPS took me straight there with no issues. From the moment I walked in, the cozy Italian-style atmosphere pulled me in, and it was clear this place has a loyal local following for good reason.

Now let’s talk about that food: the wedding soup is divine. It instantly reminded me of Winona’s homemade recipe — rich, flavorful, comforting. A definite must-try. I also enjoyed a fresh and generous salad, and appreciated the wide-ranging menu and how accommodating the staff were with requests.

There’s plenty of seating, so even when it gets busy, it doesn’t feel crowded. Overall, Jeffro’s delivers a mix of great food, welcoming vibes, and sincere hospitality....

The food is great and the restaurant itself is really a treat to visit. Service was super fast and friendly. My only criticism is how everything is extra. The entrees themselves are reasonably priced, but things like a side salad, or even garlic bread with pasta is an extra charge. Again the entree itself was great, but $3.95 for two pieces of the same plain garlic toast you buy in a box of 8 for that price at Walmart is a no go for me. I would have loved to give the place 5 stars, but the nickel and dimeing with their menu is where the 3 stars come from. I visit Altoona often and would love to eat at more local places like this. However with Outback and Olive Garden both just a few minutes away, I can spend the same money or less, get a salad with my meal, and bot have to worry a out piecing a meal together from a convoluted and frankly money...

We arrived around 7:45 on a Friday evening and waited about 15 minutes for a seat. The server was attentive and prompt. We ordered 2 draft beers and fried cheese for starters. The cheese seemed to be hand-breaded with a marinara sauce that is amazing. It arrived about 5 minutes after our drink. I ordered the Penne Pasta with Chicken. Our entrees were delivered roughly 10 minutes after the appetizer. The penne pasta was laid on fresh mozzarella cheese slices. The pasta was adorned with tomatoes, asparagus, garlic, and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. I was unable to eat it all. My husband ordered the sirloin steak and ribs with asparagus and fries. The ribs were very tender and the steak was cooked to perfection. The portions were spot on for the price. Jethro's is highly recommended for the service, quality,...
