When you walk into the restaurant, you immediately notice that everything is brown, like you're in a pizza box. Michael Buble and Frank Sinatra constantly played on the sound system, and on the walls are cheap prints reminiscent of New York and Italy that were probably bought at the Tuesday Morning three shops down. The menu probably hasn't been changed since the place was opened and it's a dumpster fire. There are about thirty different dishes, all with some combination of chicken or shrimp, pasta, and red or white sauce. There are descriptions of the dishes but they're almost ridiculously similar. Even their prices are the same. Each dish comes with a house salad that is the epitome of every terrible Italian restaurant salad: a handful of romaine drowning in dressing (I asked for Cesar, but it almost tasted like ranch), a sprinkling of red lettuce and black olives (because salads should be salty, said no one ever), and a single peperoncino on top. I felt like I was in a satire. I'd say that Italian Villa is almost ironically bad, but they've been around for 30 years and people like coming here because it's closer than Olive Garden. I don't remember much of what my entree was, because on my first bite I found a black shard of plastic (possibly from a spatula). If you want to eat out, there are are three Thai restaurants nearby that are so much better than...
Read moreOmg soooooooo salty!! Extreme salt! I just ordered takeout from here after a very long busy day, I was starving but did not have the energy to cook. I ordered a steak sandwich and stuffed mushrooms for myself and a sandwich for someone else. I have never ever in my life eaten something so salty. Ever! And I love salt! I ate a mushroom (small, 2 bites) and because I was so hungry had to force myself to swallow the second bite. I thought maybe someone just added too much salt to that dish and tried my sandwich and omg it was really salty also (like someone accidentally added a handful of salt vs a pinch, an extreme amount)! I called the restaurant to ask if maybe something went wrong and they said no one else has complained and I could bring my food back there and have them remake it. I paid extra to have this delivered, I am exhausted and the last thing I want to do is drive all the way there just to have them remake my food and possibly hate it again. Chalking this up to lesson learned, and will never eat here again. The woman I spoke to on the phone was actually very nice and apologized, it was her manager that said I had to bring it back. And I have no idea if the other sandwich is any good. We are...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for 25 years and have yet to have a bad meal. We were there again last week and asked for some food accommodations and off the menu items…they were very happy to oblige and everything was great!
We have been coming regularly enough to know many of the staff. As well, the owner (Tony) makes it a point to come by to say hello when he sees us and ask how the food/service is going. And will immediately move to fill glasses is he notes they are low.
This has become a regular stop for us, especially when celebrating holidays. When we come here, we are greeted warmly and feel welcome. Enough so, that when our kids come home to visit, this is the one place they routinely request we go while they are in town.
On a side note - I noted those giving bad reviews for delivery orders and complaining about how the food arrived or the high cost. It appears those were Uber Eats deliveries - you should know it will be marked up in price by Uber Eats and the restaurant can’t control how the food is handled. I only be in g this up because we have always had our food arrive timely and in great condition - every time we ordered direct from Italian Villa and had them deliver...
