Mamma Mia Pizzeria — Restaurant in Allentown

Listen… while I agree with some of the other reviews that the actual restaurant isn’t the best (it’s small (that happens!, it’s okay!), it’s obviously very family owned (hence the small children running around (also okay! It adds heart into the business!), the only thing I genuinely focused on was the food. My partner and I ordered 2 different pizzas and an Italian hoagie for dinner a few nights ago and all of what we ordered was incredibly good. The hoagie was excellent and when I requested extra vinegar they put it in a container on the side so my hoagie wouldn’t get soggy, (Thank you!!!). The extra cheese pizza and taco pizza were also so so good. I have no idea what y’all do to that crust but my oh my it is SO GOOD!! I hope this restaurant continues to cook up great food for the local community for a long time to come. Truly a hole in the wall type of place that I wish I had learned...

Disappointed in my order. Ordered buffalo chicken stromboli and a dozen mild wings. The wings were just okay but the Stromboli was wrong. There was no buffalo sauce in it. When I called to explain the situation the person on the phone (the owner I believe) asked me if I wanted a cup of hot sauce to make it right. I told him that I would like my order to be correct. He said he would get me another one and hung up quickly. After an hour of waiting, I called back to see when my food would be delivered. The guy said I was supposed to pick it up. The second stromboli was better but if your ordering buffalo chicken I guess you need to ask for extra hat sauce. The person on the phone was not very professional either. I am glad I ignored most of the bad reviews or okay reviews. This pizza was fantastic. The best my husband and I have had out of a dozen places we've tried between Virginia where we moved from to here. The crust is thin and crispy. The sauce had a good taste, not too light or heavy. The cheese was acceptable (my favorite cheese is from a place called The Don's Pizzeria in VA-nothing like it). The garlic knots were chewy and delicious. Chicken wings just okay but it's a pizza place. We just went to order and there is no delivery on Saturday at least today. We are so bummed my husband wants to drive out and get it.
