My partner had been telling me about this place for sometime. It was her sisters birthday so she convinced us all to go here. Walking in seemed like it would be nice. They were not that busy at lunch and so we like anyone would have expected the service that comes with the reputation of this type of establishment. Prices average $20.00 per entree. We were seated about ten minutes prior to her mother, sister and baby arriving. I asked for a high chair upon arrival. They arrived and were seated, yet still no high chair…. I had to go around to the kitchen area to ask twice for one. Finally one arrived. After thirty minutes someone took our appetizer order. Four tomatoes with Mozzarella slices and basalmic reduction. (15 minutes) Another table of young girls was seated. They got to order first. …. The manager was walking past our table and I simply said sir … He rudely said give him a minute and proceeded past with to go boxes. When he arrived I said “ sir we are and have been ready to order. We don’t know who our server is so I don’t know who to stop and ask. Could you please let them know we are ready” (Two people had been to our table one to get our drinks and another for our appetizer) He replied “well there is only one and that would be your server” as if I was some kind of idiot. Finally the second guy came out and took our order. But while your ordering they are rushing you before you can complete what your saying. Food came out now 1.5 hours after arrival. I gave them two starts because the food wasn’t bad. It was decent. We ordered cake for her sister and then tried to order cake for her mom but again they walked off quicker than we could finish our sentence. Got both slices of cake finally and said it’s her sisters birthday in which case the You g waited replied “ oh wow Fuck” happy birthday over the toddlers head. Smh.
I can keep going but I think you get the gist. We will not be going back here nor referring people to this establishment. For $120.00 you can find better service where people treat you like they are glad to have you in. We are the easiest customers. Never complain or are rude. Generally tip very very well. You just have to be kind to people walking in...
Read moreWe went here 04/12/24 to celebrate my grandsons 8th birthday. He wanted pasta. We were almost immediately seated. We waited almost 10 minutes before the employees who kept passing by us acknowledged us, and said she would see who our server was. Approximately 7 minutes later, our waiter came to take our order. The staff set up a table for 10-12 people behind us. The guest came in and was seated at those tables. They had their bread and drinks, and we were still sitting with no drinks and definitely no bread. My husband got up and went and talked to the staff inside. He was telling a waitress how unacceptable this was. An employee at the counter intervened and asked how dare he talk to a 14 year old girl like that, which he was only expressing how unacceptable the service was. Not causing a scene or anything. He explained what wasn't happening at our table to the gentleman. He offered to take care of the bill, but my husband explained that we were not looking for a free meal. We wanted service. Equal service. The gentleman told him that he needed to be patient, My husband said WE had to be patient..... while others didn't have to be patient, and walked away, and all 5 of us left. We don't know why this happened to us. I hate to say it was racial, because I'm honestly not sure, but I do know that it was unfair treatment. It could have been the number of customers they would make more money off of 10-12 compared to only 5. I don't know, and I don't even care at this point because we will not be dining there again.
We left, found a FABULOUS Italian restaurant... Rosa Mia's. Everything was perfect even though the kids were tired from going from one restaurant to another.... he received his wonderful pasta meal. We will definitely be returning...
Read moreI have enjoyed Ippolito's over last several years. And loved them for their food. I go to their Roswell location often. We had an event near their Alpharetta location so we decided to place a catering order from them. The process to order was cordial and conducted over the phone by my wife with Jonathan. On March 25th I went to pick up the food and parked opposite to the restaurant where the sign said to park and call the business for pick up orders. When I called, Jonathan picked up the call. I told him I'm at their designated parking spot to pick up the catering order. He turned very rude and told me if I have a pickup order, I need to come inside the restaurant. I said ok and then I moved my car to another spot and went inside the restaurant. I saw a guy at the host stand and I asked him that I'm there for a catering order and if I can see Jonathan. He said very rudely that he is Jonathan and pointed me to the receipts and told me to total the order and sign that. Then he went to get my order, I was looking at the receipt to understand everything was right. Then he told me rudely again to sign. I signed the receipt and then he got even more rude and told me to write the total cost. I wrote the total number for my catering order. He rudely then pointed me to the cart and told me to take the cart and load myself. I took the cart and was loading when someone from the restaurant ran and asked if I need any help. I said, I don't think Jonathan was in a mood to help. The lady helped me load the food and left with the cart. Remember this was a catering order of $480. I'm not sure what I did that Jonathan needed to be so rude from the get go I don't think I'll ever go back to any of the Ippolito's in my life. Hope you are treated better when...
