TLDR: Issues with reservation, not impressed with the treatment by apparent management. Rushed out before our allowed time, and tried to charge me for extra time that didn't happen. First time there, won't return. Otherwise enjoyed it. I'm not going to leave one star, because the simulator experience here was good. My overall experience was really only ruined by issues with guest services. To be clear, the attendant for our bay, Sam, was fantastic. He was quick, attentive, and did a great job making sure we were taken care of. My experience with what appeared to be the person "in charge", Landon, was less than stellar. I booked a reservation for 3pm for a small birthday party. Just me and a couple of friends booked for 2 hours. I was very specific with my reservation and can tell you that I booked it for 5 guests (in case either of my buddies wanted to bring their wives) and it was confirmed for us to be in Bay 5. We all arrived at 2:45 and walked all around the place multiple times trying to find an employee. They were extremely busy with what appeared to be a kid's birthday party, and a large party for a high school football team. We eventually got an employee to come work the front desk (actually also Landon) and were told our bay wouldn't be ready until right at 3. That was fine. We waited and sort of looked around the small shop area up front. Eventually we were told that we could go wait at the bar and they would let us know when the bay was ready, they were going to have to "move us upstairs". At this point we figured out that they were trying to figure out where to put us, because our Bay 5 that we booked had a leak that they were catching in a bucket. At 3:08 I went to look for an employee again to figure out what was going on. Nobody at the front desk, nobody upstairs. A few minutes later, Landon found us and told us that the upstairs bay was ready. We got to the bay by 3:15, only 15 minutes past our original booking, so not that bad. Landon told us he would come back to tell us when our time was almost up. I asked if we would still get our full 2 hours since we were starting late, and the told me that we were only booked for 1.5 hours. I said "no, I specifically booked for 2 hours". He said he would go check on that. About an hour and 15 minutes later, they send Sam up to tell us that our time is almost up, would we like to add 30 minutes or an hour? I told Sam that we were supposed to be booked for 2 hours, so I guess I wanted to add enough to get us all the way to 2 hours. He said no problem, and left. 5 minutes later Sam comes back up and tells us that guest services (Landon) said we were already over 2 hours and we needed to clear out for another reservation. I said we hadn't even been there 90 minutes at this point, much less 2 hours, but we would just leave rather than argue about it. He then presented me with a tablet to pay for our food, drinks, and 2 hours of bay time. I said, "Sam, we didn't get put in this bay until 3:15, it's not even 4:45 yet, I'm not paying for 2 hours". He said, "Guest services says you are over 2 hours", but he went to speak to them about it. Landon came up and reiterated that we only booked for 90 minutes, and that we needed to leave for another reservation (keep in mind we already have all our stuff packed and are actually standing outside at this point). I said we were definitely leaving, but that I wasn't willing to pay for 2 hours, as at this point it wasn't even 5pm yet. Sam changed the price and apologized profusely. Landon rushed off dismissively, saying that they were very busy. Being busy is good for business, and I'm happy for them on that note. Being so busy that you give a bad customer experience is a problem though. Also, as just a side-note, they specifically asked for the special occasion on the reservation, but I never saw where that meant anything. Paid full price for everything, nothing acknowledging that we were there for a birthday. Not sure why...
Read moreThe place is well designed, The booking experience was a little tougher than expected, but the team helped answer all of my questions. The food was good, and so does the golf game, which pretty much saved the day as all the other games were somewhere between not playable and just boring, The feedback from the system was not accurate , and the graphics felt like it was taken from 1995. The golf was the only game where things felt that it was working properly, and since not much graphics was required for this game, everyone seemed to enjoy it a lot. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that they have a build in 23% on top of the whole event (including the deck rental, food, drink and extra games), When the even was over we were told by the manager that the waitress only gets 15% our of the 23% that was already included, this seems a bit unreasonable to me (the check had 18%, 20%, 25% and 30% suggestions for additional tip, I mean come on... that is already half of the entire event. Don't you think it is a little over the top? Overall, we enjoyed it and recommend going there, but it's probably a one-time...
Read moreA group of us took our parish priest out for a night of fellowship and fun. It was truly the best sports simulator / theme restaurant I've been to. We were warmly greeted by Karis who gave us a thorough overview on the multi-sport simulators and Dean took care of us over the two hours of fun. I've been before which is why I chose Fairway Social for this night out. We only wish we had time for the putting course which, in my opinion, is even better than Tiger Woods' Popstroke putt-putt restaurant. The food is great and the service is truly five-star. Dean and Karis were true hospitality professionals who genuinely cared that we had a great time. As a former Ritz-Carlton concierge, and currently in the same capacity in a private apartment residence, I am always interested in how the service is at any place I go and I can only say great things about Fairway Social. Thanks so much for making an important night...
