It started in the early evening.
My mother was off at a friend’s house, and left the dinner situation up to me. As always, I snatched up the opportunity to order food delivered to my home. I opened up my food delivery app and quickly chose my usual restaurant.
I ordered some ramen, seaweed salad, and boba tea. One of my favorite things about the place is that not only does it have a wide variety of meal options, but boba tea to top it off as well.
I placed the order, and soon got a notification telling me Samantha had picked up my order. At first I was skeptical, because I don’t usually trust Samanthas, but I wasn’t about to complain.
After a while of scrolling through discord and doing math homework, the doorbell rang. I came down the stairs and opened the door. By then, Samantha was nowhere in sight, so I couldn’t thank her, but my food was there. I snatched the bags up and scurried back into my home.
I set down the bags and started ripping open the paper one first, where my entree was located. I took the base parts and broth out, then combined them. The smell of the food was already enough to make a grown man cry tears of joy. It was nigh impossible not to weep at the scent.
I opened the other bag next. Inside was my miso soup, seaweed salad, and boba tea. I pierced the lid with a straw and took a sip. The thin, but milky texture of the drink combined perfectly with the mild and sweet flavor of the honeydew melon, and the boba pearls were like a cherry on top, perfectly chewy yet easy to bite.
The miso soup was the first to go, as I slurped it up very quickly. It was a simple, but quintessential side dish nonetheless. The flat cuts of seaweed were like blankets on my tongue. The tofu was like biting into soft jelly. Overall, it was a mild and pleasant experience.
Seaweed salad has always been a favorite of mine. The easy crunch of the strips, and its unique flavor renders it impossible to be compared to other salads. Something about this always makes me crave more.
This ramen was so good that the second I took a bite of it, I ascended to the heavens. My spirit split from my mortal body and flew up into the air, leaving everyone not enlightened by this meal stranded on earth. It was the last piece to the perfect dinner puzzle, and now I was seeing the full picture. A distinct aquatic plant salad. A mild side soup. A sweet and green. Noodles alongside spicy broth, corn, pork, bamboo chutes, and scallions. Eating this meal, I found myself and the gates of Heaven talking to Jesus Christ. He inquired on the food, and so I detailed to him all of the phenomenal qualities of my dinner. And then I returned back to the mortal plane, now able to continue my meal in life, and in peace. It was the perfect dinner. I was alone, I felt safe, and I didn’t have to continue working on assignments pertaining to the quadratic formula. I hate the quadratic formula.
But none of this could’ve happened without the aid of Samantha. I regret ever doubting her capability to deliver my meal, and for that I apologize. Her service was unparalleled to any other. She followed the exact delivery instructions, and in a reasonable time. I also discovered no signs of my food being nibbled on, which I am grateful for as well.
If you are on the fence about ordering from this restaurant, just do it. There’s so much to choose from, and you will likely...
Read morespend 20 dollars for a tempura ramen, which is soy sauce soup with only ramen in a bowl and 4 sushi and 2shrimp tempura on the side. if this is ramen should be taste I just feel I should buy an instant noodle for better taste. the sushi and tempura shrimp is ok cause you will dip them with ginger and wasabi but this is a dish as ramen correct? Also clearly ask waitress does any ramen are taste spicy? The waitress said they all can be spicy or not, cause we add spicy sauce into it. But when I ask can I add spicy sauce on it after ordered. She said no we don’t do spicy for this one (ramen)?? And then I said do you have any spicy sauce? She looks inpatient and unbelievable at all and ask do you wanna sriracha? ( because I heard she said “srirachy”) so I said I don’t know your spicy sauce but can I have some? Then she just turn around and leave, after gave to me..the sauce I understand what sauce it is and can I ask how a ramen flavor match with sriracha? If you just tell me all of your ramen is not for taste spicy I could just not order it since this is a poke store.. Feel so disappointed. Their service is really “great”, all request you have need to go their desk to ask, bring your bowl to get extra sauce, ( a waitress ask me to bring my bowl to her after I ask if I can get more gingers) they will not give you in a new plate with sauce, you need dump all the trash by yourself. So the tip is really not necessary to give, sadly I know this too late. Not recommend at all Since only an old waitress served me, so I am not sure if this is common for everyone. But I am done...
Read moreI actually really love this Poke place! The price is as expected and it tastes incredible! A little pricey (but that's every Poke place) and great for when you want to treat yourself. I got a small bowl with salmon, shrimp protein and white rice base with sides. It was enough for 2 meals for me. You have to try the Creamy Sesame sauce, it might be one of the best sauce I have tried at a Poke restaurant! (I had it on top of the sesame oil and it's a perfect combination for me). A plus plus plus thing here is that they have self-order station and for a person who is always anxious when ordering Poke that is absolutely amazing! Their miktea is also really good, I tried the Lavender and I loved it! Overall, very happy. I've come back more than 3 times.
(I would recommend adding dry seaweed as a topping choice! It would go really well with everything else and also a very popular...
