My hubby and I are in ga, for my dads funeral (sigh) but we noticed this is right across from our hotel. I live in northern va (just west of DC) where you would think there would be tons of these but nope, and the ones that are there are not very good. Old food, even during prime times, many spaces missing food, and slow to fill them up. NO crab legs, nothing special. angry and cold servers at both locations.
I WAS BLOWN AWAY at how amazing this buffet is. I hate to go back to va, as Im going to miss this experience so badly. Im hoping to get back, to this buffet, tomorrow night, before we leave tues, but I dont know yet.
This place is not only beautiful inside, colorful lighting, super clean, beautiful and warm/inviting furniture, etc, but the food was way above and beyond what I expected! Massive variety of food, super clean buffet, and I was shocked to see Alaskan crab legs (which had some sort of infused flavor, maybe curry?) it had a great flavor and color in the meat. AMAZING.
they also had super clean massive sized steamed blue crabs (mostly females, as i prefer the males) but soooo good. there was just ONE that i got that was really bad, like rotten, you could smell it before sitting down, so i didnt eat that one.
the sushi salmon was so fresh, a fair size, to rice ratio. I was not able to try everything but i dabbled in what I could. I even noticed that they had REAL deserts, not the fake chemically typical cakes, etc.. they had pecan pie, key lime pie, peanut butter pie, etc.. the ice cream, that they had, was the usual little cups of pre packaged ice cream but i was shocked to see that they also offered soft serve as well. i tried the vanilla which was a little on the ice milk texture, not creamy, but it had a slight hint of what I felt tasted like a peach flavor. I dont know what was in it but my brain said peaches, lol. it was addictive.
there was tons of parking, with a HUGE parking lot. they were super attentive from the time you walk in and ask how many are in your party, to the service once you sit down.
they kept refilling the food as fast as it was going. there was a lady walking around, like the secret service, talking into a mic, ordering more food for certain areas. the team of employees were hustling and did a fantastic job.
You all are sooooo lucky to have this place. Im jealous. Please consider building one in northern va, in the Sterling area of loudoun county, along Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) as you all would clean up!
we need a restaurant like this sooooo badly and this is an affluent area, which helps . I assure you, at just 25 bucks, you would be flooded with business. I am begging you to consider it. I shouldnt say this, as i would be a customer, but you could easily charge 35 and still get tons of business. I have a youtube food channel and would push for you on my channel, with a review, as that is what i do.
I had to stop and tell the front desk, how, in all of my 61 years eating at a LOT of buffets around the east coast, this is not just the best asian buffet i have ever eaten at, but i turned to my husband and told him THAT THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT, IN GENERAL, THAT I HAVE EVER EATEN AT.
thank you...
Read moreReally good quality, flavors and selection! This is now my second time coming here with family for dinner - once during the weekday $22.99 and once on a weekend $24.99. Pretty much the same great selection - really fresh sushi, nigiri, sashimi and seaweed salad. Just that alone is on par with other nearby ayce sushi places and cheaper by $10-12 pp. Food is fresh and hot even up until closing time. I see someone constantly monitoring over her walkie talkie and replenishing items. Love the hibachi - I just get plain cooked fresh veggies, but you can get fresh shrimp, or any meat and steak. Amazing calamari. The best selection of fancy tropical fruits like mango, guava and papaya, and good variety of other desserts. Husband says the bbq ribs is one of the best he’s ever had. We absolutely love the fresh fish, Mongolian beef, salt and pepper shrimp (with skin on) and baked sweet potatoes. My family and I actually prefer this buffet over another newly opened Asian buffet that I won’t name. The staff are all the sweetest, and they treat you like family guests. Thank you for being so kind and finding me my fav...
Read moreThere is a wide selection and some of the dishes are quite good. You have a big variety. Great selection of fruit and salad for example. There's plenty of parking. Unfortunately the tables and booths are jammed so close together that only one person can squeeze through at a time. There's no hope of a quiet conversation with anyone. The two times I've been here all customers were seated in a big clump with more than half the restaurant left empty. You have a super loud, tense atmosphere of eating with total strangers and hearing everything they say and every eating noise they make. There was a group of about 14 in this clump making so much noise, screaming, laughing, as well as unsupervised (and barefoot!) children running loose. Service is brusquely efficient. My biggest surprise was asking about WIFI - and being dismissively told they don't have it in the building and no one there uses it. I don't believe that fib for one second. No...
