Melissa was wonderful! I walked in distraught and walked out a loyal Shane Co. customer! I had booked at appointment at Jared's for ring sizing and rhodium dipping for an heirloom ring. This ring is priceless to me - my deceased mother designed it for me and had the stones put in it from a ring she and my grandfather gave my grandmother - my grandmother gave it back to my mom on her first Mother's Day and my mom redesigned it and gave it to me for my first Mother's day! Priceless. I've lot significant weight, so I wanted to get it sized and dipped for the first time. Since Jared has a jeweler on site, I went there. The lady was kind, but a little disorganized. I told her the story of the ring. When testing the diamonds, she started having issues with the handheld. Each of the 6 stones were reading inconsistently - diamond and moissonite. I just shrugged my shoulders - obviously I was led to believe they were diamonds my whole life, but it's not the end of the world. It's the sentimental connection. She says she thinks it's just because it's dirty, so she cleans it for a few seconds and retests with the same results. She takes it back to the jeweler for a few seconds and comes back and tells me that despite the handheld tester that "they sometimes have issues with", the jeweler believes they're diamonds. She asks me what karat gold and I tell her I don't know since it was a gift, but I know it's white gold so I'd like it dipped. She coyly tells me "the jeweler thinks it's platinum!". I know it's not, but I figure the jeweler will see it more clearly once he starts his work. I pay (sizing and dipping) and leave. Within 10 minutes the lady calls me - apparently the jeweler did testing with the large tester and all 6 stones are moissonite. It is Jared's policy not to work on rings with moissonite. So, back I go to pickup my ring and get my refund. Once again, she was very kind. Once I got in my car, I used my phone flashlight to look at the stones. It did not sparkle with rainbow like a moissonite and only white like a diamond. I'm so confused! Then I google how long moissonite has been around - used in jewelry only since 1998 - and I am so upset! This means that the small town jeweler that my mom used to make this ring stole those diamonds and replaced them with moissonite. That's that only explanation at this point - they could NOT have originally been moissonite because they didn't exist at the time and my mom wanted to pass along those diamonds. At this time I am distraught because someone took advantage of my sweet mom AND my favorite heirloom is a lie! I start to drive back to work and think about getting a second opinion from Shane Co. since I'll pass it on my way. I walked in and Melissa went above and beyond. She listened, she understood my concern, and made a plan to help me. She said she would really clean it to make sure it was ready to test. She did and then let me go with her to a diamond testing room so I could watch the testing myself with the large tester. All 6 diamonds passed...immediately...no questions. All it needed was to be cleaned thoroughly for accurate results! So, obviously I asked Melissa if Shane Co. could resize and rhodium dip it for me. She took a quick peak inside the band to see that it was 14k gold - something the lady at Jared's didn't think to do and the jeweler thought it was platinum?! Anyway...Shane Co. and Melissa saved the day, saved my memories, and saved me money because they charged me LITERALLY half of what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShane company is absolutely the best shopping experience I've ever had. Period. All the employees are experts in diamonds, stones, etc. All their engagement rings are basically one of a kind, because each store carries different ones & what they have online is also different. You choose the actual ring & diamond separately, which also makes it completely yours & like no other. The employees absolutely do not get paid on commission... I know this because they don't all hover around you all trying to get your attention to themselves. They all seem to have their own special area they deal with, & they help you as a team. This may be hard to believe, but I truly feel like "now I have a friend in the diamond business" just like their commercial says. They are so pleasant, & there is a no pressure whatsoever atmosphere, so much so you could just walk in just to look around & you will not be overwhelmed by every employee trying to push you into a purchase. They are respectful to your space & do not use pressure tactics to sell items. I fell like every other fine jewelry store I've ever been to uses these pressure selling methods & make customers feel very uncomfortable. Shane Company is the opposite, you almost feel like you walked into a family home & all the employees are members of the family, welcoming you with open arms. I can't say enough great things about this place! If I could recommend a location, the one near the North Pointe Mall is the location where me & my Fiance picked out my engagement ring. Since then, I've been there for a sizing, & cleaning, so I think I've pretty much met all the employees & they are all equally amazing! Also, they have a lifetime warranty, so if ANYTHING happens to your purchase they will replace it. The only thing you have to do to ensure this warranty (at least when it comes to the engagement rings) is come in every 6 monthes for a cleaning & inspection. If you are shopping for fine jewelry, I can't recommend Shane Company enough! There is no better place. They have jewelery in pretty much every price range, & if your shopping with your significant other present, they will discuss price in private with the person making the purchase, so they know what diamonds or peices of jewelry to bring out to show your significant other. They know how to do this in a very nonchalant way that eliminates any alkwardness about price. It's like they are not only diamond & jewelery experts, they are also experts in customer service. When it comes to this aspect, you'll have to experience it for yourself to understand exactly what I mean! LoL Shane Company is #1 in my book...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo say we had a great experience at Shane Co., Atlanta - Alpharetta is an understatement. We (my finance and I) came in "shopping" for wedding bands. We had been looking around and couldn't find the pieces that we (she) loved. When we walked in the doors we were expecting the same nonchalant service with a pressured sales atmosphere that we had been experiencing in other stores ...This was simply not the case.
Upon arrival we were greeted at the door by an associate, checked in and then introduced to John. We were instantly engaged and enamored by his knowledge, friendliness, and desire to help us find something we loved... John took the time, and gave us the attention to take us on an experiential journey that filled our spirits with confidence and gratitude. He knew that this was an important life decision for us and that settling for something that we just liked was not going to be an option. During the process we came back multiple times and looked at multiple rings, settings, pairings, etc. Whenever we returned, we were always greeted by multiple team members and then promptly searched out John for his assistance.
We ended up purchasing my band, my fiancƩ's band, upgrading her engagement ring, and purchased a groom's gift for my son... It should be noted - I am not big on shopping, but this was truly enjoyable. John ensured that we had a smile at every turn. He ensured that when we left the store, we left with something we loved - Something that filled our hearts with happiness. The experience with Shane Co., and with John, was so very memorable, I can honestly say it will last a life time.
John didn't just provide your standard customer service. He took his time, expertise and natural ability to build a relationship with me, my fiance, and our children.. A relationship of sincere customer care, producing customer loyalty. We will be patrons for life, and generations to come... Thank you!
With Sincerest Gratitude -...
