Chronic Tacos — Restaurant in Alpharetta

This is by far the worst QSR “burrito/bowl” spot! This quality is piss poor whether they say it’s always fresh! I URGE YOU to stay away it’s overrated and overpriced! Minus the one white guy that can speak English it’s all people who can’t understand what it is I want. Not trying to be rude but it’s usually a common thing that the person taking your order and getting payment can understand you. I’ve been in there 3x now trying different times of day and it’s ABSOLUTELY horrendous! Flies are everywhere roaches crawling around and guys/girls not washing hands nor switching gloves and that’s even if they have them on! One time I went the owner was there and made it a point to let everyone know who he was, well sorry champ you suck at your job! I’m from California, I was a regular at the first one in Newport Beach, Randy was amazing! This guy they call James doesn’t even know his own menu after 7 years being open and won’t give you the time of day if he’s “ obviously weeded “ Overall I’d actually give this place a negative score but unfortunately you can’t! The artwork is nice but I don’t go to a restaurant to look at the walls! Please please please do your due diligence before you decide to eat here, the food is worse than sub par and if you want to have a pleasant meal don’t expect that as the Latino ladies are always on their phones and could care LESS about making it. I know the one shorter rounder latino/mexican lady will give you an attitude for no reason and she’s always on her phone watching videos on some social media app! James the “owner” is an absolute train wreck and has no idea how to fix standard issues without getting all hot and bothered and has to get his employees to help fix issues he should be able to take care of! Very disappointed in the establishment. My fiancé and I have been to this location several times and have had a pleasant experience. However the last two times have been a let down. When we first walk in the guy who takes your order doesn’t even great you or let you know he will be right with you. When he finally does acknowledge you he takes your order as if it’s an inconvenience. Not only does he lack basic customer service but the last two times he forgot to add meat to both of our burritos( That is the first ingredient you choose when ordering). Luckily the first time it occurred we were dinning in and were able to let him know (which he didn’t take well) and while noticeably annoyed proceeded to remake our order. Today it occurred again, I was about half way through my meal just to realize the steak was missing, unfortunately we took it to-go and were not able to let them know our order was wrong. Since this location doesn’t answer their phone nor have a voicemail box available it leaves me to write a review. Food is great but definitely lacking in customer service. So on tonight I went to Chronic Tacos like I normally do every other weekend. I PURCHASED a shrimp bowl and shrimp nachos. For both I said double shrimp and double chicken and double steak for the nachos.

At the register the nice lady began checking me out and he came over to help her find the items. Then he commenced to adding shrimp on there 2 more times as it was already the first protein. The OWNER (as he said) noted that because I ordered double shrimp that meant I wanted triple shrimp. All of the workers including the cashier was confused and KNEW that he was wrong and continued to apologize! Then I saw him stick his LITTLE STUBBY FINGERS IN THERE AND TOOK OUT A FEW SHRIMP EVEN THOUGH I HAD PAID ALREADY AT THE REGISTER. He was already RUDE WHEN I CAME IN, as if he was irritated. BUT WHEN YOU WORK AT A RESTAURANT OR ANY PLACE WHERE PEOPLE PATRONIZE YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE RUDE! Normally a really nice staff and I never had any problems.
