Sorry, this is long, but I had to express my dissatisfaction. I am disheartened to be writing such a bad review but had to let folks know about the Alpharetta by the Avalon on Old Milton Salata's location. Let me start of by saying that I've been a customer of Salata for the past few years. I like to say my home store is the location in Johns Creek, Ga, on Medlock Bridge Road. They are fantastic Kudos to the entire team there. But the manager at the Salata on Old Milton (Avalon location) is horrible. I've visited this location a few times on my way home from work and never had any issue, until 2 weeks ago (The first incident). l I did not know it at the time but was told quickly who he was. He stated how can I help you. I told him my order and he put some salad in the first bowl. Before he started putting the salad in the 2nd bowl I asked, " oh can I have a little more lettuce please". He looked at me and literally put 2 pieces of romaine lettuce in the bowl. I said really, can I get a little more. He then states I am the manager here and this is how much you get. I replied, no that’s not true. I've been coming to salata's for a few years and have never been told that. He then states well I’m the manager here now and that's what it is. I paused and then called to another worker who I asked to make my salad because I did not like the tone from the "Manager". The other worker came right over and made my salad. I asked him what was the "Managers " problem and he kind of shook his head. He prepared my salad as I requested and I told him, if this is the attitude and service to expect at this location then I would not be coming back and left. --(Side note the guy who made my salad was great!) Fast forward to today 09/26/24, Hurricane Helene. So, I left work and was on my way home and felt for a salad. I should have followed my mind and kept going but the optimist that I am, said give it a try maybe the "Manager was having a bad day. I walk in and see the "Manager" helping 2 customers. He was in front of where the bacon bits and soup containers are. Another employee who came from the back started to walk towards me to help me. I can’t' make this up. The Manager stops her as she is walking to me and tells her to finish making the salads for the two people he was helping and walks over to me and asked what can I get for you. I stated " No that’s okay, I'll wait for the young lady to finish to make my salad. The Manager than states No I will make your salad. I replied no I will wait for the young lady to finish. He interjects and states I will make your salad and if you don't like it, "You Can Leave. I said again if I am requesting someone else to make my salad because clearly you have an attitude problem I can. He then states no I am the manager here and what I say goes, you can leave. I did just that and drove over to my home location on Medlock bridge where I was greeted with a smile and my order was made perfectly. I didn't even have to ask for more of anything. I know this is long, but I had to write this review. I will tell my co-workers at the hospital and the urgent care near not to visit this location. The management needs be change or this location will lose a lot of customers. No amount of training or coaching will help the manager, get rid of him.. Totally...
Read moreWe frequently visit Salata, usually at the Halcyon location, but we visited this location and we will not be back.
We pulled up and noticed what we believed to be an employee outside the restaurant. He was wearing a black Nike shirt and a green hat, but nothing he had on had the Salata logo. We thought nothing of it and went inside. No one was there to greet us so we waited around 5 minutes. My husband walked towards the back where a woman came out. She began making our order where she let us know she didn’t speak English. We didn’t mind and assured her she was doing well! While she was making our food, the employee that was outside and a taller man in a Salata shirt came back inside where it was apparent they had words outside. The male in the Nike shirt went to grab a drink from the cooler before he left. The taller man (we assume is a manager) yelled at him and told him to put it back as he was stealing and no longer was employed there. They went back and forth for a few seconds before the manager got it from him and Nike shirt walked out.
We paid for our order with the “manager”. (We aren’t sure who the man is but we will call him the Manager) He didn’t apologize for the altercation or for not having employees there. I was shocked he didn’t say anything but I paid for our wraps and waited for our order.
As we were waiting, in walks in the Nike shirt employee again. Him and the manager are shouting in the restaurant and squaring up at one another. I feel very uncomfortable at this point and my husband and he tells me to go outside and he will get the food. They continue to shout back and forth over a drink. Nike shirt employee then “crossed a line” on the floor and manager threw his drink away. My husband then asked Nike Shirt, who was squared up with the cash register yelling, to please move aside so he could grab the bag. The manager escalated the situation in front of a customer as well as the young man filling out an application in one of the booths.
My husband brought the food out to me and we ate outside because we felt unsafe. About 2-3 minutes later the Nike employee left. We NEVER had anyone approach us about the situation or apologize to us. Our food was great, shout out to the woman who helped us! I am appalled that no one thought about their customers before, during, or after the employee conflict to even address it. We felt unsafe and no one cared. We will never eat at this location again. We have no idea why the employee was let go, but the behavior from both sides was unacceptable and degrading. Great food, but your customer service and customer care is nonexistent.
UPDATE- emailed corporate as this post recommended and I didn’t get a response. Updated...
Read moreI am a regular customer who loves Salata ! I recommend to all my salad lovers because it’s amazing however today 5/27/24 was not a pleasant experience for me. I visited the 110 location in alpharetta on my lunch break. As I entered the young lady who was working watched me walk in , did not greet me and watched me stand in line for a good 15-20 min while she played on her phone and then proceeded to make online orders. As she came down to start making the online orders I still was not greeted or even acknowledged. I asked her if there was anyone assisting customers? She stated she was the only one there and to give her a moment. I then said well I’ve been waiting here for a good 15-20 minutes already and she stated she knows , she seen when I walked in but as she stated she’s the only one here. I then stated that she could have at least greeted me and told me that instead of me not being acknowledged. She then says “Again I’m the only one working but how can I help you ?”. As she assisted me she still had an unpleasant attitude the whole time. As I got ready to pay I asked her for cooperate’s number she stated she did not know and I can look online for it. Overall as a regular customer my experience today was very HORRIBLE & UNPLEASANT! I was the only customer in line and I was treated horribly. That is not how you treat any paying customers at all ! She acted as if she did not want to help or even be there. Customer service is BIG and I definitely didn’t receive any great customer service at all today. She never not one time acknowledged me to begin with and just allowed me to wait without even stating she would be with me in a moment. She was very rude assisting me and as a paying customer that was not acceptable. I truly would like to speak with cooperate or even the manager at that location . My service today was HORRIBLE I’ve never had a horrible experience from Salata at any locations for as long as I...
