Update on April 2022 Visit----- I was sent a few gift cards that I used for this meal and was expecting a huge difference between my last visit. Sadly, the visit was not that much better.
We ordered tortilla soup and found that they have put a very large amount of the sour cream in the soup to the point it barely made it warm when mixed.
The pineapple slices were so thick it made it uncomfortable to take a bite from the slices. I guess they don't ferment the slices in the drinks anymore.
The bread was extremely hot and even though it came before the soup, it was still hotter than the soup after it was mixed.
I ordered aged ribeye and she ordered the garlic sirloin. Mine was burned in the middle on the outside that took up a bout 1/3 of the steak. This was not grill marks but actual burnt portion of the steak. My steak did not rest at all prior to getting it as the plate quickly had all the steak juice covering the bottom. Her garlic sirloin was cold. It was so cold that the butter on top didn't even melt. It barely had any flavor to it and it was sent back.
The manager did give us a free desert but it seems that the crème brulee cheesecake is never there as they were out.
The soup would have been perfect if it was hot. The best part of the dinner was the bread and carrot cake which was premade.
Waitress was good towards the last half. At the beginning she was very quiet and did not acknowledge the order but simply walked away after we said the order. Towards the end, this changed and she was great!
Feb 2022 Visit: In my many attempts to give my favorite restaurant a 2nd and 3rd chance...Tonight was the worst. The executive chief was there tonight as well as the manager. We had to send out food back 3 times. The first time was because our steaks was cold and very rare (we did med rare). There was no juice or anything in the plate when we got it and even our loaded potato barely had heat in it (butter/cheese didn't melt). The 2nd time, our steaks were charred but were even rarer than the first time. Think dark blood red. It was a joke. I was the only one to try one more time while the other dish was cancelled because it was just insane for them to screw up that much. The 3rd time it was barely med rare except the forgot to season it. It took 50 mins to get these dishes.
The spinach lobster queso was microwaved to the point it was burned on the side....they didn't even stir it and it was hot in some areas and cold in the other. You couldn't even taste the lobster. It looked horrible and it was embarrassing.
The bread went from being huge to half the normal size. Think barely enough to cut into 3 sections.
Remember....the executive chief was there that night according to management who had no idea why things were going wrong. This is the 3rd try we gave this place in a year since our first visit. The service and the food have bottomed out.
At least the drinks were made well. Avoid this place unless you...
Read moreNot sure what was going on, but first impressions definitely matter. First time at a Firebirds and the last (at least for this location). Showed up about 815 on a Tuesday and the place was near empty. Was ignored as I stood at the front but was finally acknowledged after I waved to get attention. Requested to sit outside and host ran off to check if she could accommodate, even though it was clear no one was sitting out there. Once outside all lights were off and had to ask many times for them to be turned on. Literally could not see the menu nor could my two guests that arrived a few minutes later. Ordered unsweet tea and server returned to tell me one is all I get since there is no more and she "will not brew more as its a waste on a slow night". Yes, her quote! My guests upon arriving also ordered unsweet tea, but were told I have the last glass so they switched to a water and a sweet tea if I remember correct (still, now there would have been 3 people drinking unsweet tea and still would not brew any for us!). My two guests were also requesting the lights to be turned on through all this, which finally the manager did once we began to ask for candles if the lights are not working. I ordered a salad and steak dinner. Salad came out after a long wait and steak showed up like 2 minutes later. No silverware so more wait while I stare at my food. Ate my salad while the steak got cold. The delmonico was not memorable at all, likely due to it resting way longer than it should have on my table. And the whole time the server was clueless and seemed to be rushing the service. And many other little things went terribly wrong. Such as, I finished my one unsweet tea. I then asked for the lemonade. She did bring this and upon setting that down told me since it's now 30 minutes from closing I will need to switch after that to a soft drink or water. I asked why. She said the bar will not be making any lemonde anymore! It was more like a battle to enjoy dinner versus a night out with two friends I have not seen in a couple years. I will not return. This was my first Firebirds experience and I am not sure how it could have been much worse from a front of house and bar (customer service) and back of house experience (food timing). I have better options in the area. Too bad the service, food, and vibe is not as cool as the...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Firebirds for the first time, with a party of six for a special get-together. Right from the start, Andres greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, immediately setting a welcoming tone for our meal. He informed us about the happy hour specials, with drinks at half off, and did so in such an enthusiastic and inviting manner.
Throughout our experience, Andres demonstrated exceptional patience, allowing us time to catch up and savor the moment, as we were reconnecting with friends we hadn't seen in years. His demeanor was respectful and calming, and his knowledge of the menu was truly impressive. Even when we faced an issue with two of our orders, Andres handled it flawlessly. He promptly informed his manager, James, who came to our table to hear our concerns and ensured our filets were remade to perfection.
What stood out the most was Andres' professionalism and grace during this hiccup. We've encountered servers who react negatively in similar situations, but Andres was the exact opposite: attentive, understanding, and focused on making our experience memorable. We ended up staying for nearly three and a half hours, enjoying every moment, and it’s safe to say Andres provided the best service we’ve experienced in over six years.
We loved the delicious food, the delightful ambiance, and, above all, the extraordinary service. Before we left, we made sure to express our gratitude to Manager James and let him know how pleased we were with Andres' outstanding service. Andres was humbly appreciative of our praise, and we could see how much he cared about delivering a wonderful experience.
In fact, we were so impressed that we’re returning in just a couple of weeks, bringing both sides of our family for my birthday celebration. Andres, thank you for making our first visit to Firebirds exceptional. We can’t wait to see you again and enjoy another...
