Had the regular burger. It was pretty good. Wife had a shake too and said it was very good and now will be her go to place for shakes. I think the pricing is a little high for what you get. It also seems everything is Ala Carte, meaning they have no combos. Place is fairly clean and airy. The employees are OK nice, by that I mean, they are there and pleasant, but they are also very young and it shows. They aren't very attentive. They don't greet people as they enter, they don't thank you for your order, it seems like they are somewhat distracted and are usually jesting with each other behind the counter, just a tad bit unprofessional, but reflective of the age they are. They act giddy and highschoolish when a friend, of the same age group walks in and they engage in a full conversation right there at the counter even though the person isn't ordering. They are just there to hang out and talk. I don't think anyone there, has been over 21 the 3 or 4 times I have been there. I think they need an older manager to keep them focused and more professional. But it is a fast food place after all. Also, ordering from a kiosk doesn't help. It's convenient, but doing so doesn't really require any customer interaction so the employees tend to ignore customers coming in until they are calling you to get your order. Also they only have 3 which means it creates a bottleneck with people placing orders, especially if a group or 4 or more come in together. The area where you can place an order is very small and only about 5 or so people can fit comfortably and that is still tight. The parking is a little cumbersome too, as the lot is small and tight. I will go again because my wife likes the shakes and the food is OK. But you get a better overall experience at Culver's. Food is similar, and just as good, they have combos and more variety and options, employees are much more engaged, parking is way better, price is better, as you get a little more for your money, and the ambiance in Culver has a better feel. Shake Shack sort of made me feel like I was in a waffle house that is a burger joint. Culver's feels more like a restaurant that specializes in selling burgers etc. But I still would recommend you visit at least once just to...
Read moreI tried to give it a shot more than 3 times but the service did not improve. I come here during lunch on a weekday or weekend and sometimes around 3pm. The line to order using credit/debit card is very inconvenient. They only have a few touchscreen monitors to order. There are a few people who are technology-challenged who took almost 30 mins on the touchscreen. The cash line who has an actual cashier is always empty! So I’m suggesting if you really like the food, come in with cash on hand! The servers at the drink station have an attitude. I got all my order and so I went back because they get me only a rootbeer, instead of a rootbeer float. I asked politely but the girl just grabbed a shake on the counter. I then said that I ordered a rootbeer float. And she didn’t do anything and ignored me. One of the kitchen crew was kind enough to ask what I needed, and then she told the girl to grab what I need. The girl then grabbed what it seems like a rootbeer float and put it down.. then she gave me the hand (“hold on”) I stood on the counter for another 10 mins while my food was getting cold while the Girl was idle. Another guy from the kitchen saw me and asked what I needed. I then said “rootbeer float please” and then grabbed the rootbeer float sitting on the counter for 20 mins. I didn’t have the energy to ask for a new one. This is only one of the worst incidents I’ve ever experienced. I would highly suggest to go to craft burger instead next time as they have impeccable service than shale shack. It wasn’t even a busy day but we got pur food after 30 mins. I would have given it a 1 star but the because the burger was a little better than wendy’s or burger king so I am giving it a 2 star rating. Waiting for their drive thru soon and hoping for a...
Read moreVisited Shack Shake yesterday for the first time. I wanted to wait until they had been open for a few months before trying as usually places have issues the first couple of months. I thought the ordering process was super easy and liked that they text you when it’s ready instead of having to listen for your number to be called. We ate on the patio which was spacious and clean. The burgers were great. My sig other said the hot dog was fantastic and reminded him of the ones he would buy when he lived in NYC (which makes a lot of sense because this company originated there). To get refills for our soda and lemonade, I walked to the counter with our empty cups and in seconds someone offered to refill them (I was about to hand them the old cups but they got new ones which makes better sense given Covid is still around). I was very pleased with their customer service. I would suggest anyone who had a not so great initial customer service experience early on to give them another try. There is a bit of a wait to get your food so you don’t want to go when you’re in a hurry, but it didn’t seem long sitting on the patio chatting while we waited (I’m guessing 20 mins). Anyone going on a lunch break may want to place their order ahead of time and pick it up in their drive thru specifically designated for mobile orders. It’s not inexpensive - a hot dog, two double burgers and two large drinks was $37. But IMO it was also better than Five Guys or BurgerFi which aren’t much cheaper, if any. I feel like we got good food for our $. And one double burger was a bit too much for me, it was huge. I’ll order a single the next time. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a casual spot to...
