This weekend my husband and I went to Tibbys New Orleans Kitchen and it was amazing. #tibbysneworleanskitchen #altamontesprings #orlando #soulfood #lambertfoodtravel

Tibby's is great! No, it's not going to satisfy the hankerings for actual Cajun food, at last not from anyone actually from the Gulf Coast. But it's got plenty of that Nola spirit and the food is objectively delicious. When I say spirit, this place is dressed from head to toe in New Orleans fashion, beads, trombones, fleurs de lis, all the way down to the the solemn Katrina Doors on the walls, turns into beautiful artwork. Service has always been great. No complaints there. My six top got seated one night recently, my staff helping me celebrate my birthday. We get seated and I have to start translating what all these food items are to all these Peninsulans. We start off with the simple Potato Skins (Four potato skins topped with Andouille sausage, peppered bacon & pepper jack cheese. Served with a side of sour cream). Pretty good! Crispy skin, that signature Andouille, and some heat with the peppered bacon and the pepper jack. No complaints. For my main, I ordered the Jambalaya (Scratch recipe, Jimmy Dean®, Andouille & New Orleans Hot sausage, sautéed vegetables, spices & rice). This was a massive load of jambalaya. That's the New Orleans way, big portions for your money. This was delicious. Spicy, gooey rice, Andouille in a lot of the bites, and that big sausage on the side, cut it up and add it in, too. The only thing is that the bread was laughably small. Come on, big me some more, please. No one at the table had had beignets before... So I had to order some, of course (Loaded with powdered sugar. 4 per order). A very good rendition! Nice, crispy squares of airy, pillowy dough. Ooey and chewy, absolutely blasted with powdered sugar. They all loved them, with good reason. Overall, this place is great. Compared to Nola itself, its good. But compared to the dearth of Cajun food in this city, it's great. Thanks so much, Tibby. I'll be back.

Cajun/Creole in Florida Tibby’s of New Orleans located in Altamonte Springs is a Cajun restaurant like no other. I first tasted their food when my spouse and I were shopping for bar stools for our kitchen and the store we went to happened to be in the same plaza as Tibby’s. About two doors down. So, we decided to go into Tibby’s and give them a try. I like trying different restaurants so I can add the restaurants that I like and really stand out for me to my collection of restaurants to go to when I crave a certain type of cuisine. My spouse and I both loved the food we had, and they have a nice assortment of dishes in their menu. Also, the entire restaurant is decorated in Mardi Gras style. I love their gumbo and their crawfish étouffée. I normally setup lunch for our Sunday golfers' group after a game. I brought the group there one Sunday. The group loved the food, and we had the best server. His name was Phoenix. Phoenix in the beginning probably didn’t know what he was getting into when he saw our group, but he did a fantastic job serving our group. Our golf group has since gone back two more times and both times we’ve enjoyed our food and requested for Phoenix to be our server both times. Hector the manager has been very accommodating and has ensured that Phoenix is our server every time we were there with the group. On Sundays they have a group entertaining the customers with music and songs. I always ask for the room right next to where the musicians play so it does get loud; however, once you close the doors to the room, the music was not as loud and we were able to carry on a normal conversation. If you’ve never been Tibby’s I suggest giving them a try. I’ve only been to the restaurant in Altamonte Spring, but they do have two other locations.

I was disgusted with the treatment received from this establishment. We came to celebrate a birthday at tibby's. First time there. Had a party of 14. Around 4pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was near empty. We were told we had to wait 25-30 minutes for one other large party of 12 to leave first. We waited with no complaints until we were taken to the our table, 30 minutes later. Our table was in the back of the restuarant by the restrooms and was divided into 2 separate tables. After waiting for 30 minutes in a restaurant with 3 parties of 5 or less this was a bite of WTH. When we asked can we have the tables together? The hostess said let me check went were we can see the assistant/department manager "Erica" be rude and tell her no. I ask to speak with the manager. Erica came over rudely and told us basically we were an inconvenience for not making a reservation and to not cause an issue as this is the best that could be done and proceeded to walk away. I was so upset I called and wanted to speak with a manager right away which TJ sweet and respectful apologize, takes my information down to provide to Hector whom is on the business cards as a partner. TJ offered to comp our appetizers for the inconvenience. However, the situation doesn't get better as I see Erica and what she was doing with our waitress. Spectical about eating here at this point but TJ was sweet so we decided to stay. Our waiter takes our full parties order. Another party of 10 or so comes in. Some how one half of our party gets their food and the other half is told a large order was placed before our order so we would have to wait a little, if you guess it, it was the party of 10 or so that got their food before we did. Mind you it is almost 7pm. Now the icing on the cake was a party of 15 came in (no reservations) and they rearrange tables for the entire party to sit together. At this point I'm over it and tell them to please bring my check for what I had instead they bring the food finally. I politely declined and asked for the check. Next day I received a phone call from Erica, saying she was calling because my number was on the desk with "no information" she wanted to double check to make sure it wasn't for a "reservation"or if something got missed. I said I provided my information for Hector as I was disappointed with the service and how we were treated. She then proceeded to tell me she was the one I had an issue with and TJ is the assistant manager who comped us the appetizers for the inconvenience. I literally said are you serious right now. Why are you calling me. I felt harassed in a way. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't receive a call from Hector. I heard such great things about Tibby's unfortunately my experience was not one that makes me...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tibby’s, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal.

The menu at Tibby’s is a celebration of flavors. Every dish we ordered was nothing short of spectacular. The biscuit Rita’s chicken in particular, was a standout—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Bbq shrimp was a delightful combination of textures and flavors that danced on the palate. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s passion for creating dishes that are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that we left satisfied and eager to return.

The service at Tibby’s is impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional, offering thoughtful recommendations and checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. The staff's attention to detail, from refilling our drinks promptly to ensuring our table was always clean, was impressive and added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

The ambiance at Tibby’s is cozy and welcoming, with a charming decor that reflects the restaurant’s personality. Whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special occasion, the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy great food and company in a comfortable setting.

Tibby’s is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. The combination of outstanding food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu....
