Checkers — Restaurant in Altamonte Springs

Don't order apple pies, the employees do not seem too happy to sell them. I have given this location two tries. The first time I ordered them it took almost a half hour. Only reason I was still there was because I was sitting in the outside eating area to the side with a friend. I went back after 12 minutes after being told 10 minutes and was told it would be a little longer. Finally as I was leaving I came back to window and they were still not ready. No apologies, no can I get you a water for your time waiting, nothing. The second time I was told after I paid for my order that there was only 1 left and there was no more available. I asked what would be easier picking something else or a refund. The attendant sighed and slammed hand on counter said I guess I will go get one but it's going to be about 5-10 minutes. The customer behind me joked I guess there was more available someone was just not in the mood to get it. To make matters worse I think she literally cooked one because one was old and cold the other was hot and fresh. Both these times it was early in the evening I give up.

Earlier tonight Decided it's been a while at this location I'll try again. Bad idea. Food was cold and old. It was like it was sitting in an air conditioned area it wasn't just room temp. As I cleared my drive thru I put hand in the chicken bits and they were cold and hard. I parked and approached window. My mistake was not checking the chicken sandwich or fries they were cold and old. The lemonade was watered down not sure if they were out or it was just sitting there going to guess it was out and they didn't notice. The chicken bits came out unseasoned even after I told him the BBQ ones that come with T Pain meal when he asked how many. He did let me throw them out but one trash bag was already folded so I would have been that guy to throw food on top of a rolled up bag and the other trash was overflowing with food falling out . I gently placed on second one just in case anyone thought I was taking the cold ones too.

I had forgot about the horrible experience at this location until it just asked me to update my review. The guy was really nice in recooking. I have a feeling it was the lady who didn't want to cook because she told me it would take 8 minutes to cook an apple pie while I appreciate fresh stuff and probably should have said sure and can you re cook my entire order while I was so nothing is cold I said no thanks and then I get cold food anyways. Yes I can be contacted. I don't know if this is a franchise but hope owner...

I ordered on the app and showed up immediately for my order. They saw me waiting in the front at the pick up window. The cook was making hand gestures to say it’ll be a few minutes wait. A woman in green came from the back and kept waving me off when the cook would point to me. I waited 20 minutes while orders from cars that pulled in after I arrived were helped before she came over and opened the window and just looked at me. I told her I had a mobile order. She didn’t even wait for me to tell her the name before she walked away to grab a drink (for the wrong order) and put it in front of me. I told her it was the wrong size and drink. She then leaves it there and goes to grab my order that had been sitting there the entire time I was waiting. I went to my car to check the food and my fries were soggy and kinda warm. I went back to get my fries replaced and she said “oh that was your order?” I guess she thought it was a DoorDash or something and thought the food wouldn’t be checked until it was delivered and pretty much too late to be complained about. She then said “we make the order as soon as it comes in”. I just walked away with my “fresh” fries because I waited for my order the whole time and just watched her ignore me and I knew she wasn’t gonna listen. I rarely make food reviews but this time I did because this was some kind of “supervisor” or “manager”. Your cook had more sense in this occasion. Oh and the drink for someone else’s order was still sitting there when I walked back to my car the 2nd time. How do you complain to me about my food being cold when you waited forever to...

Checkers on 436 in altamonte.. Food was good .. but I'm sorry to say customer service was horrible. If I had to guess the woman who attended the window and who took our order were the same person .. no eye contact or hello. Lets just say no greeting at all I chalked it up to her maybe being tired. Our total wait time was about 20-25 minutes which honestly my family of 4 didn't mind too much because the food was fresh and everything tasted good on this Saturday night . Again i have to mention that the customer service lacked communication . As we were waiting for our food another customer came back for missing fries , we could hear the employees complaining and not believing her ,, the woman of very few words says to the fry cook that "the customers were bugging tonight" she walks over hands us our bags and walks away, we have the habbit of always checking our order before pulling away , we notice that our daughters strawberry cheesecake stacker is missing , we tried getting the attention of any worker but to no avail , we waited about 5 minutes then here came the woman with stacker in hand . Smh .. I understand dealing with the public can be hard at times .. but step back and realize the service you're giving and would you like the same ? We will visit again because like i stated food was good . Hopefull for a better...
