Delicious Thai food in Altoona, PA! #altoona #thaifood #tiktokgoeat

Aoy Thai Restaurant gets a 10 out of 10 for taste! I have had a lot of Thai food in the past, so I can make a fair comparison. Step into Aoy Thai Restaurant, and you are met with a lovely pinkish and brown theme, accented by an eye-catching purple and gold wallpaper behind the counter. I started with the fish cakes appetizer and moved on to the green curry with tofu, requesting the dish to be extra spicy. The flavors of the coconut milk, vegetables, tofu, and with the other ingredients made this dish a masterpiece. Eating that dish was a highly enjoyable experience. I also tasted the wings, Satay fried rice with chicken and shrimp, and the Thai fried rice. The other dishes were loaded with flavor. The menu has other enticing options to choose from. Aoy Thai Restaurant has an ample drink selection. I randomly selected Pure Palm Juice. It is a refreshing drink reminiscent of coconut water. A nice bonus is that it is low in sugar, with only one gram of sugar listed on the label. One sip convinced me I needed to buy another bottle, which is exactly what I did. The portions are perfect, every dish is just enough food to fill a person up. And even better, the prices will NOT cause financial strain. In conclusion, Aoy Thai Restaurant will offer you a memorable dining experience and I am sure you will return again and again.

Another fantastic Thai food excursion. We started with the pork buns - so tender and flavorful. It took me forever to finish mine because I didn't want it to be over !! We split the Kao Soi with rice noodles and crispy chicken and Spicy Basil with shrimp - both level 2 heat. The Kao Soi consistency and flavor was phenomenal, and the chicken was on another level. The Spicy Basil was very good as well , but definitely overshadowed by the Kao Soi. I will try level 3 heat next time as neither were spicy enough for me. Drink wise : The Basil Seed passion fruit drink was phenomenal - my friend will be ordering by the case LOL. The honeydew bubble tea was tasty, although the tapioca pearl texture was definitely a different experience. It's very small inside, with bright fluorescent lighting - so I would definitely opt for takeout next time. But our server was such a gem, and made for a delightful experience overall.

A small, but quaint Thai restaurant in Altoona. I ordered one of the specials this month, which was a large bowl of dumpling soup with pork and egg noodles. The dish also had a large portion of bok choy and bean sprouts. I asked for extra broth and extra spice at a level 3. As a regular enjoyer of moderate to high spice this was a great decision as the extra broth neutralized and spread the spices throughout the dish making it even more savory and delicious. I enjoyed every part of this meal and even went as far as taking the broth I couldn't finish home with me. Our server was very polite and attended to us during our entire visit. We had mentioned it was my mother's birthday but did not think to ask for anything. As we finished, the staff played happy birthday over the speakers while presenting an ice cream dish with deep-fried Oreos and a candle for her. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend coming her especially when it isn't busy as the staff are timely, friendly and overall pleasant to be around while also being very accommodating to guest requests. They went above and beyond during my visit and I will be back as...
