Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Amarillo

Braums is my absolute favorite local fast food joint. Unfortunately my last handful of experiences there have been just shy of okay. I strongly regret not leaving a 5 star review on this place when the team was near perfect.. I feel saddened to have to leave a lower than perfect rating but ultimately this service called me to leave a review. The last couple of times the speed has been beyond slow. I work in the morning so I always show up early to give myself enough time to expect a little wait but lately the wait has been unreasonable. Today for example there was a single car in front of me and it was just us two vehicles. After 10 minutes of waiting I had noticed they were handed what seemed to be a half full sack and drink. I thought surely after that wait they would’ve ordered the whole menu but no. I also had the same wait time. While waiting to pay I just watched my food by the window sitting. I just needed to be wrung out. When I arrived it was just me and the car ahead. By the time I left there was a line. Was the line due to a surge of people randomly? No, but instead from the slow service times. My other issues include constantly forgotten eating utensils, no napkins and extras that I ordered but just did not receive. As I said before Braums is my favorite spot and truthfully I eat here almost daily if not daily for atleast 1 meal. I started to pass if I noticed a small line but it’s to the point where I’m passing if I even see a single car in the drive thru. The quality of the food has also slightly decreased (slightly over cooked almost always in the morning but it’s still okay) I really hope this location starts a turnaround. This has always been my go to but I may have to start using another location if needed or just a new chain in general. I look forward to seeing this location reverse...

I took my Mama to Braum’s after a day of celebrating her birthday that was yesterday and for Mother’s Day tomorrow; so we were going to get some ice cream, just a small twist cone, there are 6 people obviously on the clock, they didn’t have lines of people, just two at the food counter, we were at the ice cream for quite some time while there were two young girls standing by the sink and actually looked at us they didn’t say hello nod or ANYTHING to acknowledge us!!!! Finally, the young man working produce came over and took our order, I saw the coffee pots were still sitting out so I asked if the coffee was fresh, he said honestly he had no idea! (Honesty is a good thing) finally the two girls came over, to take the money, we asked them, they said they didn’t know but it was definitely hot. So we ordered a small and a medium, went to get the coffee and both pots were empty!!! We went to ask for a refund on the coffee, the young lady asked for the receipt, I told her she just threw it away, she said oh yea and went to talk to some real young, young man who instantly looked pissed, started a pot of coffee and sent the girl to give our cus back and let us know we couldn’t have a refund because he started the coffee!!! The dining room was a mess, everyone EXCEPT the young man working produce, were EXTREMELY RUDE and unconcerned about customers!!! I can’t say enough good things about the young man in produce!!! Stopped here coming back from our Colorado trip. Not once had I encountered such horrible customer service. Ordered for a family of 6, no special orders keeping it simple. Guy taking order slammed every cup on the counter top before giving them to us. Got mad when we asked for ice (coke machine was out of ice). Got our order and they were missing a burger so my son went and told the assistant manager. She didnt believe him so she went to our table and counted the burgers. Making it look like we were trying to steal or something. Then we she realized we were missing a burger she went and got it slammed the tray on the table to where fries went everywhere. Thats not the worse part. While we were there a guy came in an ordered and ice cream cone. Got his cone, walked out, came back in. Gave back the cone and guy at ice cream counter dumps the ice cream from the cone back into the ice cream box in the freezer. Then wipes the cone with paper towels and when about to refill it with ice cream the guy tells him "I don't want that cone" and the guy at counter get mad and chunks the cone. How many times does that happen? Ice cream that has already been served dumped back into the containers. Will not ever come back to...
