Starbucks — Restaurant in Amber Township

Starbuck's is back in town. Its been a few years, figured I'd try it. Got some cake pops for the littles (both flavors) a Danish for myself and a couple drinks. The first thing I noticed was the danish. It had black crumbles/dust on it and it caught me off guard because nothing in this is that color or texture. So I call and ask if there was some kind of spice or something I wasn't aware of when I had ordered the danish. I was told that the black stuff was from their oven and that my order could be remade vut the results would be the same because its coming from the same oven. So I dont have them remake it. Now, I get to my brothers and get the cake pops out for the littles. Any that I've tried in previous years- the cake was actually cooked. I gave the chocolate one to my son and the birthday cake one to my niece and when she bit into it- got a disgusted look on her face sat it down and ran away. I look and the dough under the frosting looks just like that, a thawing ball of batter. I look at the chocolate, same thing. Not impressed. Especially not for over $2 for a cakepop. I hope others have a better experience. Also, one of the saddest chai's I've ever had. Keep in mind that theyve been open less than 2 months since this review and only a few weeks when I'd ordered. So I'm used to a Starbucks that serves a town of 30,000 residents and another 30,000 college students - I always loved going to that one to study and get work done and I was very excited for Sbux to open in Ludington!! I've not had a bad drive-thru or mobile order experience here, but I was SOO disappointed when I came in to sit in the lobby. The manager and assistant manager (off the clock, but still discussing store things) sat and talked for over an hour and a half, which is fine, but they were SO loud. Even with earbuds playing my own music, the store music playing, and being on the opposite side of the lobby, I could still hear their conversation completely clearly. There is NO reason to be talking that loud when you are sitting 18" from each other. I've been in Sbux where every table is filled and there's a line out the door of people ordering, and I've never experienced this. ZERO STARS. My husband is disabled and received the worst treatment at this Starbucks by PAIGE. We placed a large order and were enjoying our coffee while our large to go order was waiting for us. This was irritating to Paige who snarkingly and rudely called out that our order has been sitting there for 10 min. PAIGE aggressively grabbed the carton of coffee out of my husband’s hands and said that it ts been sitting there too long and put it behind the counter. Keep in mind there was nothing else there! We made it known previously that we were going to enjoy our coffee and pick up our order in a bit. We frequent Starbucks daily and spend good money on coffee here. We have never experienced such rudeness and unprofessionalism. Please note that this review is specifically about PAIGE.
