OVERVIEW - 3.75 Came here on a colleagues last day, as he's going to work for another business. It was a spur of the moment thought to come here as a backseat passenger piped up, hey let's go to Cubby's! I myself have never been here...
I did find it bothersome that when I was purchasing my meal before I received it, that the app wanted to know if I wanted to leave a tip. I hadn't even received my food yet, nor was the cashier something more than just punching buttons in and taking my money, that shouldn't merit a tip!
LOCATION - 3 Kind of tucked back into the gigantic lot, not easily seen from the busy State Street. If you see a Chic-Fil-A they're in there.
PRICE - 3 Price is a little steep, but I guess it is for the "all natural" experience of the food.
PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5 The burger was delicious. I ordered the Houdini. It was magically filling as well as delicious. The Sweet Potato fries were ok, I was anticipating something a little more sharp in taste.
POINTERS/PERKS - N/A There is a possibility that your burger might be on the pinker side, you can request a new one, as happened to one of our co-workers. Unfortunately we gave our coworker the nickname Kim Jung Un for being an evil dictator, for requesting a new burger when in reality she is extremely kind, and we coaxed her to get another burger.
EMPLOYEES - 4 Employees seem friendly enough. I did find it odd, there was one older, female employee that kept walking around the dining area. Not quite sure why, it was like she...
Read moreTonight we ordered Cubby's online and it let us know that our estimated time for food to be ready was 6:55pm. So I head to the restaurant and get there right at 7:00pm. My food was NOT ready and I let them know I was there, I waited for 20 minutes before asking if my food was ready and they let me know it was and just needed to be packaged up. I was not the only customer waiting for a to-go order. Ten minutes later, I asked to speak to a manager and they got her for me. Meanwhile I looked around the dining room and saw that customers who had ordered in person about 10 minutes after I had arrived to the store had their food. Cory, the manager, let me know that the system is all messed up how they do phone and online order and that in person orders get bumped to the top of the list....????? What???!!!!! She also said they were more busy than anticipated, but there was never a line of more than 1 party. And the dining room was maybe half full. Give me a break.
After complaining and speaking to the manager, everyone waiting magically all got their orders within 5 minutes..... (after waiting an extra 35 minutes from the time it SHOULD have be ready to go.)
So if you do end up going to cubby's in American Fork, I would suggest ordering in person to make sure that you are more "relevant" to their system.
5 stars for the tri-tip salad because it is BOMB! 0 stars for the awful customer service.
Cubby's in AF needs to step it up and change quickly or I'll be taking my business...
Read moreHere's the thing. Cubby's was my favorite restaurant, ever. When I lived in China last year, I used to dream about coming home to the Lemon Chicken Parmesan Salad. In July, when I found out they had taken that salad off the main menu, I called in to ask why and they said they still had it, but with some variations. I was willing to try it, but was really saddened when I learned that the croutons has been replaced with these greasy bread crumbs that made the whole salad taste less fresh. I had to say goodbye to one of my favorite meals EVER. Cubby's encouraged me to try some of their new menu items, but it's hard to lose a meal that brought me a lot of joy. Their other menu items aren't bad, I don't hate the Wild rice and quinoa salad. The most redeeming part of Cubbys after all this was their brunch menu. Their breakfast was so good and it was a perfect place to go on a Saturday morning. I JUST found out today that they are discontinuing ALL breakfast and brunch items. Saying goodbye to their french toast, oatmeal, and their lemon ricotta pancakes will just be too much. I've talked to a lot of people who feel as sad as I do. The only thing I have to say to Cubby's is: If it's not broken,...
