I usually love this place. Came in to get food for the Fam. 2 year old is allergic to dairy. When ordering his food I asked Habit not to put any cheese on his char burger and have it as only ketchup. I specifically stated please no dairy because he is allergic to dairy. When I say allergic I don’t mean lactose intolerant I mean allergic. Habit stated no cheese got it. They handed me this buzzy thing. I patiently waited. Buzzy thing went off. Before I even grabbed the food I speciafically asked: the kids char burger has no cheese right? Lady stated correct no cheese. I stated I’m trusting you. Drive all the way back to drop off the food. Got the 2 year old all excited making him think he was going to eat. Open his sandwich just to find out that the no cheese char burger has cheese on it. Disappointed that’s all I can say. I called habit pushed 3 and was disconnected. Called back pushed 1 and was disconnected. Called back for the 3rd time pushed 2 to pretend that I was going to order. Lady answers she was very kind and apologetic. I expressed how disappointed I was and let her know that I was not looking to order. I was looking to put in a complaint and speak with supervisor or manager of the specific company. She stated that she only handles food orders. If I had wanted to complain I would need to go to the specific store to do so. I am already disappointed that I put so much effort into educating Habit workers that the 2 year old boy is allergic to dairy and to please not put cheese on his char burger. I was going to drive back so that I could express this. However I realized all they would say is I’m sorry what do you want me to do about it? As if anything they could do about it could fix this anger and frustration. Saying I’m sorry and giving me a new burger wouldn’t have been good enough. What if I had actually trusted this girl that works for habit and I just handed him his burger? Then what? A ride to the hospital, hives all over him, hating myself for trusting her, worrying about his throat possibly swelling, worrying that I didn’t get him to the hospital in time, epipen all of these things run through my mind and all I can think is HABIT couldn’t do anything to fix this and be grateful that I made sure that there was no cheese on his char burger. Be glad that I was that person to double check and not truly put my trust in habit. Be grateful that he wasn’t hospitalized. Idk if habit could make it right. Idk if I’ll be coming back. I know that this may seem like a little mistake to some maybe even most. But this was a huge mistake to an innocent boy. An innocent 2 year old little boy could have been hospitalized. So, I thought hey I’ll put a review out. So anyone that looks at this review sees that they can’t trust habit with special requests. I’m using my gmail account that I know the workers will recognize me on because it displays my photo. I’ll probably put more reviews and watch your 4.4 stars hopefully turn into 1. I’m not one to put reviews. I’m not one to be against companies success. I will for the sake of habit learning from their mistake, hopefully this will help them better educate their employees and their cooks. Allergies isn’t something to mess with. An allergy that goes ignored could cause something terrible. If you are the owner of this company and you are reading this I truly hope this makes you think hard and that you educate your employees to be better. Think of this. If he actually ate the “no cheese”char burger what damage that could have caused to you and the law suit you would have had to of dealt with. How happy would you of been with your employees? How happy would you of been to pay for an attorney? How happy would you of been to know one of your employees was careless about an allergy? How happy would you of been if he was hospitalized and you had to pay for it? Not to happy right...pretty frustrated...
Read moreThis is my dads go to spot! I’ve been here so many times, but maybe only half as many as he has! I love this place and most I bring here do to as well! I’ve had an array of different things to eat hear and never been disappointed.... well except their fries, they aren’t bad but not amazing either, I would give them an average rating.
Tuna fillet sandwich- soooo good! From the way they seat the tuna to the sauce that compliments it so well. If you like fish this should be your deal.
Bacon burger- better question have you ever not liked a bacon burger?
Tempura green beans- I get these almost every time! They are so tasty and make you feel healthy, whether that is true or not isn’t the point ;)
Super food salad- I’m not a salad guy but have gotten this multiple times the dressing is killer and brings all that healthy mumbo jumbo stuff on the menu together to taste really good!
Give this place a shot I promise you won’t be disappointed unless you’re grumpy cat and always...
Read moreHabit is always a great experience every time we go. I've tried about every item on their menu and it's really difficult to select a single favorite. They have regular cheeseburgers, salads, fish options, and chicken options. There is really something for any mood you're in.
My wife loves the Santa Barbara Cobb and the Santa Barbara Char is also very good. Those are probably the two real gems at Habit.
However, I frequently go for the Teriyaki Char adding jalapenos, or the BBQ Bacon Char. They are both tasty and the Habit teriyaki is really good. I've also gotten the burgers lettuce wrapped and even that way they are so flavorful and tasty.
They also occasionally have specialty burgers and salads. Right now they have an Asparagus & Balsamic Salad which was really good. They have also had jalapeno bacon burgers and such in the past.
Overall Habit is a great burger joint that we frequent because the food is good and there is a wide variety. Highly...
