We are from Minnesota and we unfortunately ate here (8/6/2025) while on vacation and it was very disappointing. To sum it up my daughter said as we walked out.. “That was the worst dinner I ever had.” And I agreed with her 💯.
First off the woman who took our order was very rude and didn’t ask us if we ever ate here before. She got frustrated because we couldn’t hear her talk. First because this place ‘as already stated below’ is loud and echos. Second because she didn’t speak loud enough to hear her!
Most restaurants here are NOT restaurants they are little strip mall store places to eat. All self service ordering and cleaning up after yourselves…….And cleaning your own table before you actually eat as well.
The Vessel Kitchen is very loud and you can’t hear yourself talk or let alone have a dinner conversation. I ordered poke and the trout with Brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash, yes two plates. The sprouts were burnt, the squash had a vinegary balsamic taste and was very disgusting. The ahi was NOT fresh it was pre-frozen and not even pink. I thought they gave me salmon poke instead it looked so weird. The dressing on poke is not what is described on the menu. Of course there was about five people in training while we were there waiting for our order for 27 minutes.
No fountain drinks so be prepared to pay 500% above cost for cans of coke products or ‘stupid drinks’ I call them. Bottled carbonated water or a health drink with green grass or prebiotics.
Of course my daughter could not eat the shredded chicken. I tried it and it tasted like they blended the talons of the chicken with the nails in a blender and served it with fake mashed potatoes.
My wife had a similar meal and guess what? Same thing just shredded beef that tasted like shredded beef jerky.
I think we paid over 80 bucks for this disgusting food. I guess Google or the reviews people create are biased? Our visit was based on the reviews and it just upsets me that we can not get an honest review from anyone these days.
We also a saw a manager one table away from us. He did absolutely nothing when he/we noticed it was almost thirty minutes that we were sitting there and six people receiving meals before us. Way to Manage, Manager, nice attention to detail!
Conclusion: STAY AWAY/ Highly DO NOT...
Read more3$ for a CAN of soda.....? C'mon.... I know other places charge the same, but it's a refillable cup with a drink station. That can of soda cost them 50cents at best .... You could get water, there is a fountain, it isnt cold and there is no ice.
And the silverware on the table? I'm pretty sure this is a health code violation. How many other people have touched these? Or sneeze on them? Or get their food on them? The napkins are packed in so tight they don't come out without tearing.
The food that arrived was soggy and cold. I picked up my beef taco to find it swimming in sauce. All cold, drippy and the naan was soggy. Flavor was okay, but the temperature and texture made it very off putting.
The Utah bowl was again cold and soggy. I don't know if it was just sitting back there too long or what, but the potatoes had no crunch. And again cold.
Kids meal was small. Literally a pile of unflavored beef. The daughter liked the Mac and cheese and potatoes. The lemon rice krispie was bitter.....
Had the food been hot, this probably would've been passable. But cold soggy food.... We couldn't finish and had to go get food...
Read moreI had a BOGO coupon for Vessel Kitchen so I went with no idea of what they served or what to expect. They follow the pattern of build your own bowls or salads or pick one off the menu. They have naan tacos, protein bowls and fresh cooked sides. I ordered the Hash Hash bowl which had braised beef, sweet potatoes, feta cheese and onions. I also ordered their cauliflower, chicken and mac and cheese. The beef was good, great flavor but a tad dry. The mac and cheese was a bit dry and not super flavorful but the rest of the food was delicious. We ate on their patio which was very nice but a lot of people went to the locked patio door and then had to go around the corner to the other door, one of which was locked as well. Probably ought to unlock your doors….i even watched employees go to the wrong door a few times. With the BOGO it ended up being just over $15 for two entrees without drinks. Overall a good, healthy option and I’ll try them again but only when I’m not...
