The drinks have potential to be good. But every worker does the drinks differently so you might have one girl that makes an amazing drink and then the drink will be different the next time you go. For example I love the random crème latte, but tastes different every time. Like today the girl who I think is newer because I’ve never seen her before filled up the cup all the way to the top with milk then, whipped cream and then poured a little bit of coffee foam on top. I mixed it and it was literally still white, not a lot of coffee. She offered to make it again but literally just poured some of the drink out and added more coffee foam. I'm a long-time frequent customer at Don Joaquin's, so it was fun to see a drink shop open up inside. I read a few reviews and everyone loved the coffee, so I had high hopes. My family loves bobas, so we got 3 taro bobas. The pictures and description on the menu show the boba included in the drinks (see photos), but I was charged $0.85 extra per drink to include what should have been standard??? Anyway, the bottom 2" of the drink tastes like pure brown sugar syrup. It's so sickly sweet, I can't drink it. All 3 of our drinks were the same way. This place shares a building/seating with Don Joaquin. Their Americanos are excellent, easily the best I've found in the AF area (which is a relief for me, as I feel like it's been such a good coffee desert!). There's something charming to me about ordering a nice coffee and a few taquitos from across the room, too. The folks working have always been very friendly, too....
