Mr. Mac American Fork — Local services in American Fork

The sales reps here are nice. That is about all they have going for them here. I bought a suit here a couple weeks ago which, now that I have looked around a bit more, was priced quite high. The blame is on me for this part for not having done my due diligence, so this does not play into the poor rating. So I paid to have the suit altered to my liking. When I tried on the pants they had clearly not taken the seat of the pants in causing it to look very funny. Things are still fine as I understand mistakes can happen. They tell me to come get my suit on Thursday and they will have it fixed. I finally got some time in my schedule the Monday following when it was supposed to be done. I tried on the pants only to see the markings still there and nothing done. This is extremely frustrating as I now have to find another day to come back and get it (hopefully correctly altered). Unlikely to do business here again.

Update: Went back the third time and nothing had changed. So annoyed at this point I just took the suit anyway. Now I have a suit that I can only wear with the jacket because the pants look so bad. Decreased my rating from 2 stars to 1. Doesn't matter how nice the sales people are if you can't get a suit that looks nice for $500 plus alterations. I can get out the door for less with a well tailored suit elsewhere. Definitely not doing business here again.

Update 2: I have worn the suit 4 times now and the alterations that were done (poorly) are falling out. I will have to take my suit in to see if they will fix it so that I can at least have a suit (although not tailored well) to wear. Otherwise I will have to shell out some extra money to have a tailor or a seamstress do it who can actually make the pants look reasonable...

We had purchased the majority of what my son needed for his mission at this store. We were in several times over the period of several weeks getting everything he needed and each time we were there I felt like they were very knowledgeable and super helpful to help us to know what the best things for him would be. It was nice to have just a one stop shopping experience for a missionary. We have had two issues since he has been out on his mission with items we purchased, the first one was with the luggage we bought had a small tear on the inside luggage holder that we did not notice until the night before he left and the second was with one of the pair of shoes he had started to tear about three months into his mission. With both of these issues as soon as I called they were so helpful to get the problem resolved. For the luggage they actually went and picked it up at the MTC and returned him a new piece before he left into the mission field and with the shoes he was able to send a picture from Korea and they covered the warranty on the shoes and gave me a new pair to send him. They have been so great and easy to work with and I just really appreciate all...

Do not get a suit/tux rental from this store. I used this store to get a (slim) suit for MY wedding day. I received the (slim) suit two days before my wedding day. So I then tried the suit on, to my surprise the (slim) suit was not slim at all. I felt like I had gained 30lbs when I saw myself in that not so (slim) suit. So I decided to call them and they said that all they could do was shorten the sleeves of the suit jacket..... I was in so much shock....my wedding was in less than two days and I had realized that I had to wear this horrible fitting suit, that made me look 30lbs heavier, to my wedding... My wedding....

Let me remind you that this was not the SLIM SUIT that I had ordered. Mr Mac had also messed up a suit for my groomsmen, whom had a suit jacket that had sleeves that were 6 inches too short...

Needless to say I didn't enjoy my wedding as much as I could have because Mr Mac seriously messed up....... All that money for a suit that made me look and feel horrible......ON MY WEDDING DAY.
