It's a great location. I've been going here for a long time. I have many good memories here like playing in the old ball pit when I was little, going to bday parties, etc. But every now and then I'm super disappointed in the customer service and cleanliness. There's been multiple updates over the years: some not so great and some good ones. Recently it was remodeled. The new play place is nice and I love the new kiosk order machines, in which you can order/pay/take a table number and have the food delivered to your table. The new interactive table is cool but there should be more. I'm not a fan of the color that was sprayed on the exterior, it looks like a prison with the gray color and very gloom (I was hoping they'd make it look like one I saw in Florida which I know is out of the budget but brighter colors would've been nice- I'll post a pic of Florida's bright one for future idea upgrades). Inside looks better, but not the self help drink station, it didn't have a drip tray which I found very odd. Last Sunday I waited 25 minutes for a mocha frappe (it was the only thing I ordered, this has happened in the past, and for some reason the mocha frappe blender is not working every other time I go there). It seemed like they were training someone new at the drive-through pick up window, so I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt. So when I pulled forward to wait I patiently waited for another 15 minutes after just waiting in line for 10 minutes. Finally I got fed up and went inside to get my money back. The manager was nice. She apologized and offered to get me what I wanted or something else, but at that pointed I just wanted a quick exchange for my money back. She offered me a free mocha frappe on her when I returned. So I went the next morning and finally got my mocha frappe and only waited 5 minutes or less. Ordered a door dash, needless to say the problems persist except now they have an exceptionally rude manager working tonight who can't seem to count or keep track of food either! My very reliable regular dasher was terribly mistreated and lost money waiting on my order tonight simply because they kept pushing it back for other orders. She said she witnessed her throwing all my food into bags aggressively, and of course when I checked I'm missing multiple sandwiches and a very expensive large fry lol. So I call to explain that items are missing, before I can even finish speaking she cuts me off and tells me I can drive up and get them. I tell her it's a door dash order and that i paid for it to be delivered, she says she understands that and as I begin to explain that I did not intend to drive or I would have came in the first place she hangs up on me. Clearly I am not the only one who has had issues with their order tonight and I don't think this individual is actually equipped emotionally to handle the job. Another L from Leavitt Road Mcdonalds. All of the reviews from the past month say the same thing, it sounds like Leah is a real winning manager. Maybe it's time to let that one go. But this one isn't coming back again to be disappointed and I highly recommend everyone else avoid it as well so this one can go under and be replaced with something that wont be the biggest disappointment in amherst.
Honestly this store really needs an intervention with it's staff and put them all through training again. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before i had to yell excuse me and ask for help because everyone just flat out ignored me (I wanted to order a side of big mac sauce, which you cannot do through the app) But that's a minor inconvenience, the real problem is that they consistently give either the wrong food, or they just miss items entirely. Read moreEvery time I order no salt on my burgers, they always give me a plain burger with ketchup and mustard and no pickle or onions. This is every time I ask for no salt. This past week, I called and complained to manager Gabby, and she was apologetic and said she'd will replace my order. Gabby told me to tell them she said that she would replace my meal. I went to McDonald's to get my replacement meal and the manger on site with the tattoos on her neck was so verbally rude towards me last night over me coming to get an replacement meal that was supposed to be given to me. I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me,she made me feel like I was trying to steal a few meals. I asked her to look me up or call Gabby and she was so rude and said Gabby never put my name in the book! So I just stop even trying to explain my last experience and I was willing to pay for the replacement meal. Well when I got up to the window to pay for the replacement meal, the manager had an attitude and said she was only replacing only the sandwiches. Like I said' this was an awful experience and why all of a sudden now you want me to pay for the other part of the meal that was affected by the first order. Also, what manager doesn't want to share there name? One that is either doing something not right and don't want you to report her name. After all that! She gave me food that was cold 🥶 😩 and I ended up paying for the other part of the meals that were promised to be replaced. Now! I have another bad experience with a sketchy, rude manager. Also I drove quite a ways to get mistreated by the manager with tattoos all up her neck and body. Fish was cold, and felt like it was cooked inside a microwave. Burgers were cold and finally had all the toppings. Fries were so cold Drink wasn't filled close to top like they should be.
