Nice little restaurant I was sent to by my builders. Food: They have classic comfort foods so i like going here: When i dont want to cook When i want a hearty meal Their dinners come with a main dish as well as 2 other sides. I always get the soup and salad because WHY do people just eat cottage cheese? But i usually get the italian meatloaf and spaghetti... AWESOME! And it comes with a lot of both! Their chicken soup is also delicious. I never cared for chicken noodle soup but i will eat theirs the next day for a work lunch and the leftovers because again its a lot of food you get for only about $15. Also they have some great desserts. I've had 2 of their cheese cakes and their carrot cake. Bless the baker! Breakfast was okay but not as good as dinner options. Service: hostesses are always sweet. Ive had breakfast in there once and the waiter was great. Atmosphere: I believe this is a place that gets frequent regulars because it's the older generation that i see in there a lot. Wow. We were loyal customers since well before the pandemic. We decided to order from you so that we could show support for one of our local small businesses. Never mind!! Not only did my African American husband feel uncomfortable when he went to pick up our order, the restaurant didn't really care about the quality of the food - at all!. We were told that pick up would be in 20 minutes according to the disembodied voice on the phone, but when he arrived to get our COLD sandwich order, they made him wait for an additional 15 minutes after he showed up on time, and waited on people who arrived AFTER him!! What has happened to you, Blue Sky?? While he ultimately decided that he was satisfied with his order, as the person who PAID for it, I am calling you out. Obviously, you don't need support from the ENTIRE community. I am truly saddened by what you have become. We get the message, and will not "darken" your doorstep any further. I went here for lunch. Appearance: Overall the place was very clean and all the tables and chairs were kept in good condition. The bathroom was kept clean. Food: I ordered the veal parmesan and it came with a cup of chicken as well as a side salad. The salad had fresh veggies and croutons. The poppy seed dressing had just the right amount of sweetness. The soup broth was flavorful but the noodles were overdone and mushy. The veal was cooked to order and very tender. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the marinara sauce was flavored with beef. The garlic bread had just the right amount of garlic. Dessert: I had their bread pudding with cinnamon and whipped cream on top. The bread pudding was very flavorful but very dense. It was also cold in certain spots even though I requested it warm. Service: The waitress had greated me promptly upon sitting down.
