Tonight we out for dinner tonight in Amherst. My girlfriend and I were both in the mood for tacos, so we decided to try a new place, Taqueria Del Pueblo. We entered this hole in the wall restaurant and was met with 6 or so tables as an option to eat in(takeout is an option as well, along with ordering online). We then used the self checkout to order our dinner. We got 7 birria tacos, broth not included in the purchase of these tacos, two sides of consome( on the website it says an additional $1.99 for a 4oz container), 3 sides of elotes and two drinks. We picked out a table and sat down waiting for the food to come out. Upon looking at the receipt more, I realized they charged me $27.86 for 2 sides of consome⦠not $1.99 a piece. I feel like the website shows the correct pricing for everything except the consome, and was expecting a lesser total than what was paid. Our ratings for price, quantity and quality are below Price-3/5 The price has a medium rating due to the consome, everything else, was fairly priced. Quantity-3.5/5 The quantity inside of the birria tacos was good, there was a decent amount of beef and cheese in each one. One elote order is a full ear of corn, and had a decent coating of topping on it. For the consome, $13.93 for a 4oz container is outrageous, and unexpected when looking at the website since it was advertised as $1.99 for a 4oz container. Quality-4/5 The quality of the food was good. Everything had flavor and tasted fresh and wonderful, however the consume was a tad bit salty which is why the rating is 4 instead of a 5.
Overall rating is 3/5. This is a nice place to go out to dinner, but be prepared that it may be busy due to the size, and also be prepared to spend a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreordered a chicken burrito . I usually get burritos from Bueno y Sano, but decided to give another place a try. Huge mistake. I got the extra chicken and the spicy salsa not only does it have no flavor and I mean no flavor either the chicken or the beans or any hint of any salsa but there was a minuscule amount of chicken on it. So that extra two dollars, that i thought was for extra chicken, I guess they thought was a gift. The tortilla tasted not only store-bought but slightly stale. and it was the size of a taco from bueno y sano but cost the same amount as one of their grande burritos, which could feed you for three days. in other words, if you want a burrito, go right next-door to Buena y sano, know where they have the best burritos in the world. I hate when I try to do things! Also, how the hell do they have 4 1/2 stars? It was a high contender for the worst burrito Iāve ever had in my life. Actually may have been the worst burrito of my life. See photos of teensy burrito with barely a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve come here plenty of times in the past, today on 6/8 the cashier did not seem to know what she was doing and extremely confused. I placed my order in person for takeout, my receipt was correct with what I ordered but I didnāt receive the sides I payed for which is frustrating as this same cashier has done this before. I got no diabla salsa, no side of sour cream and there was cilantro in my consomĆ© which I asked for it not to be. There were cilantro in all 3 of my tacos. I asked if everything was in the bag including my sides and she said yes. At the time of my order it was not busy, however my order was still missing things. Iām also concerned that the cashier checked me and a few others out, and then continued to prepare the food orders with no gloves after touching money. If no gloves are worn in preparing the food there should be proper handwashing procedures as touching money and then preparing tacos and food could result in customers getting very sick. That is a big...
