On August 2nd at around 6pm I went in for some musubi. I entered and walked up to the counter and a young girl gets up from her chair and sighs!! Ok i order…

I ask her, “can i please get the 2 piece musubi”, as the order comes with 2 pieces. She asks, “anything else?”, but I noticed the order was 10 something when the 2 piece was 5 something. So i ask, “ oh l’m sorry, i was ordering the appetizer portion” shes answers, “yeah 2 orders”. I respond,” oh no im sorry i said can i get the 2 pc musubi”.. she says, “thats 1 not 2”, rolls her eyes and charges for the 2 pc musubi… i then asked her,” oh sorry for the confusion, it comes with two correct ?”.. she doesnt respond, and i take the receipt from her and she stays looking at me super angry… I’m confused at this point. The food comes out…

The cook places the food on the counter so she can bag it.. she looks at the container and makes a remark to the chef to look at the ticket. In Spanish, the cook apologizes to her because he “didnt see the message”.. the girl makes gestures saying (in Spanish) “come on, this one really deserves it”. The chef takes the food to the back, and 3 minutes later, brings it back on a different container and is laughing.. The girl bags the food, and literally (literally, literally) threw it on the counter and said, “ one musubi”, while looking at me. I grabbed it and threw it away.

I really hope you all can hear how passive my voice is. Like I’m extremely calm, I’m no Kieth 🤣😅..I really don’t understand what the hell happened here..

I really hope this girl gets caught one day and fired; she’s a A-class bum.

I really wish I can sue her, the cook, and the establishment for this experience.

Like did they really try to willfully contaminate my food?

BE CAREFUL everyone who knows what kind pf people...

After the usual, frustrating, enervating, yearly slog, called the tax preparation process, (paying nearly $40.00 for the online "convenience" of Tax Act) I ended up with zero rebate, no chance to e-file (for some reason), and needing to print the completed returns. (because a Microsoft update ruined my printer functionality years ago) In the same shopping strip as Staples, is a Hawaiian BBQ. They offer a Loco Moco that beats any of the others I've had. It is a rare treat to eat here. The last time I did, (my first time, actually), was shortly after Covid brought on isolation. Today, I decided to reward myself. The Loco Moco was as good (and as BIG) as I remembered it. It is a bit more expensive than most Loco Mocos, but twice as big and definitely worth the price. (nearly $20.00 if you get a large drink too) This Loco Moco gives you two large, very beefy hamburger pattys, (with brown gravy) two large eggs, two scoops of white rice, leafy cabbage, and a large scoop of macaroni salad. Make sure you have an empty stomach! Of course, the place has other menu items; staples, and a few specialties, but The Loco Moco is my personal favorite. Otherwise; the place is kept very clean, the drinks are from a self-serve dispenser, (refills are thus, not a problem) and the staff is professional and friendly. Took the sting from the tax grind off a bit. As Agent Dale Cooper once advised on the 1980's TV show Twin Peaks: "Treat yourself to a present everyday." For me, today's present was a Loco Moco at Aloha...

As I entered looking at the menu thinking of what to order, all I saw was how costly everything was compared to other hawaiian bbq places I've been to. My lunch break was short. No time to think of another place so just ordered the chicken bbq plate and my goodness did i feel like it was a buffet!! Most places especially during Covid has cut down on portions etc which i don't blame but this place didn't let that change the way they make their customers bellys & their pockets happy!! I was surprised of rhe portion and I was a super duper happy girl! Now, the next thing to ponder....was it good then? More surprised to also add that it sure was. Not too salty compared to another I have been to. In fact, very similar to my favorite Ono Hawaiian that i usually go to but a much larger portion! Tried my coworkers beef one and that was good too but i think their chicken is better. Macaroni salad, rice and cabbage is generic which I don't care much for and teriyaki sauce was also good and not too salty compared to other places. This is going to be one of my favorite stops especially when im starving!!...

Located in an inconspicuous place this Aloha Hawaiian BBQ packs on the food. Due to circumstances there is only pick up, but going inside the place clean, greeted with a smile and service was great. The restaurant is actually pretty room and has about 6-7 tables that can fit about 4 each from what I remember. The total for 2 combo plates ($11 each) and one loco moco plate($10) was approximately $38 , fed the family of 4 adults and 2 kids with LEFTOVERS! The flavors whisk me back to the islands, and my new favorite, the loco Moco( 2 huge burger patties topped with gravy and fried egg, 2 scoops rice, and Mac salad) will become a staple now. I forget how much the menu items are. But I'm gonna guesstimate they were about $10-12 a lunch plate. Parking is shared with multiple businesses because of the strip mall but there is plenty of parking. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, Seriously gotta try this joint. I'll be back. For those of you with kids this is a partially family friendly place minus the lack of high chairs for the little ones.
