Went around 11am on 21st May. Not peak time yet, so not hugely busy. Plenty of seating available, some with shade and some without.
Biggest issue here is the food. Husband got the plain hot dog, I got the cheese pizza flopover. Husband said hot dog was inedible - absolutely no flavour on the sausage, and the bread was dry and like chewing cardboard. Pizza was a little better. Bread was soft, lots of cheese - presentation was terrible though, looked as though it had been squashed by something? It had definitely been sat under a heat lamp for a LONG time. Took 2 bites and threw it away.
Paid $30 USD (around £21 GBP) for two items of food that ended up in the bin, and a bottle of water.
As for staff: the girl at the collection window was extremely abrupt, opening the window, sticking her hand out, snapping "give me your reciept", and slamming the window shut again. 3 or 4 people were served by her while I was there. She did not say 'please' or 'thank you' once.
Shout out to the custodial worker who I believe saw me throwing the food away, and taking my $5 bottle of water with me. Very kindly said "Go make some new memories, forget the bad ones - and remember you can get free ice water at any quick service window". Thank you to...
Read moreI ordered the Goody Goody Donuts and Granny Goof’s Garden Sweet Tea, and was able to add on the Perfect Picnic Basket and Blanket. The donuts were only slightly warm but they were tasty. The tea was the real winner, it was very sweet and had boba like mango spears inside which were great. I took away a star because the gentleman who took my order told me that none of the specialty drinks were available, only coffee. I asked another cast member was that true and she came over and helped him put in my order. All items on the menu were in fact being sold. I know it was opening day of Toon Town, so there was bound to be mishaps but to have someone who was unsure about the menu taking orders for people waiting in long lines is strange. But I got everything I wanted in the end so...
Read moreThe Baseline: For theme park to-go food stands the food must be tasty, have an experience, reliable service, and be a part of the experience.
Food: I had the Specialty Cold Brrr-ew (a little sweat but better once you mix it), Daisy’s Goody-Goody Donuts (very tasty), and tried one of the Minnie’s Mini Corn Dogs (good enough to be a corn dog). The food hits the baseline for theme park food and the offerings have enough uniqueness to put it over the top.
Service: Disneyland cast member service is almost always top-notch and the cast did not disappoint. Fast, efficient, and friendly.
Ambiance: Disneyland’s Toon Town is a perfectly themed and the outdoor seating is a nice...
